Crazy Week...
Alright, well I finally finished oiling the deck. I inhaled WAY too many paint fumes while doing it...Also this week we started to redesign our primary web-site, www.reeftooutback.com, which we are planning to get done in eight weeks! That schedule seems pretty nuts, and has already had me run all over the place trying to work on what we need to get it done. The main web developer that we are working with says that they have never seen a site done that fast, so we will be pushing ourselves to get it done.
The main reason that we are pushing this so fast is that we want the site done before a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) conference that is in Brazil in September. We want to be able to show the new Web Contact Management Solution (CMS) working on our home page, a central site for YWAM bases and the YWAM Australia web-page, www.ywam.org.au. Since we wanting to offer the CMS free to any base that wants it, along with a free base page on www.ywambases.org (still in developement), an inexpensive national portal and available integration with a custom web-site, we want a complete working model to show them at the conference. It's a pretty tall order, but we think this will really serve a lot of places.
I think that if I had broadband at home I would probably write a lot more. Most of my thoughts happen at night, after I've been home for a while and had a chance to unwind. By now, the end of the day, I'm usually a bit spacey and don't remember a lot of what I wanted to write. Oh well, got to run.
