Web Server (WAMPP) report

Posted on Thursday, August 18, 2005 in Web Development

Well the XAMPP installation has been working very well for me for the most part.

The only hastles that I have is that some plugins with some modules haven't worked write, and the multi-user WordPress instalation didn't work at all, and the multi-blog Nucleus installation did the same thing when I tried to set it up for multiple blogs.  Also I have been stuck trying to get the Event Calendar working with Drupal as I can't figure out how to add a new node that can be used for events because I get an error with that module every time I try to use it.  To be honest I am not sure if it is a problem with the XAMPP Web Server, with the blogging engines, or with the plugins.  And unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to figure it out, so I have just had to give up on that for the moment.

What I would like for our Reef to Outback site, and probably for the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) bases site as well, is something almost identical to this service, JournalHome, but I haven't been able to find the source for it, so I don't know if it is a package that can be deployed elsewhere.  It would be the perfect solution for our staff and students to communicate to people through a blog.  Anyone reading this know if the source code is available for JournalHome?
