Update on Caleb's Health - More Tests
Almost a month ago now I posted am entry about Caleb's health, saying that he had been diagnosed with a heart murmer. Since then we received a lot of encouraging e-mails from others that we have really appreciated. Here is a link to that first article:Scariest Thing I Ever Experienced
Today we finally had our first appointment at the hospital to get him looked at some more and they are going to look at running some tests, an ECG, and then we will go from there. They don't think that it is an issue for him, but they want to check it out to make sure.
Again, we would really appreciate your prayers for Caleb's health.
On a side note, the specialist that we saw actually recommended that we DO NOT take Caleb to get his tests at the hospital that we were at (the only public one in our city of 150,000 people) since "they aren't very good" and it's a very long waiting list. Fortunately though he realized that Caleb is young enough that he can go to the infant/toddlers people to get checked out, and the doctor said that they are quite good and specialize in children. I just hope that it's not too long of a waiting list.

Eric, one of the children that I watch, just went through this as well. He's almost 2 and they found a murmur. He went to Children's Hospital this week, did the EKG, and while there is a murmur, there's no serious problem. Nothing to worry about, nothing to treat. This is actually *really* common. I wish there was an easier way (for the parents, anyway) to check it out without all the worry. I'm sure all will be fine, and you're in my prayers until you have a final answer.
