Ladder 49 - the Movie
Starring Joaquin Peonix, John Travolta, Robert PatrickI thought that this was a very good movie even though it wasn't quite the ending that I expected.
I was a little bit confused at the start of it as it follows a different format than most movies because the movie consists of a number of flashbacks over the career of a fire fighter.
The movie speaks a lot about self sacrifice and paying the price to help others. It also shows a lot about the mateship that there is among firefighters and people that work and fight together as they do.
Seeing as how I usually try to rate the movies by if they would be apporpriate for a Discipleship Training School to watch, I would have to say yes to this one.

Robots - The Animated Movie
Funny, funny, funny. This was a great movie. I think that it was a little bit too scary for Caleb, my three year old son to watch, but it was great fun for me, Tamara and my mom to watch.
Even though it's a very light movie it still touches on some good topics like never giving up on your dreams and plans, and also not giving up on something just because it, or they, might be old.
Great for a light hearted laugh and I would definately recommend this one, including for the Discipleship Training School.

Man of the House
Tamara
and I rented this movie a week ago. Unfortunately Tamara fell
asleep about 2/3rds of the way through it. She didn't fall asleep
because it was a bad movie, she fell asleep because she wasn't feeling
well.Like most light comedies, this one was quite predictable. Tommy Lee Jones put in a good performance as the cop charged with watching the cheerleaders.
I would say that this is a pretty good movie that would probably be decent enough for a Discipleship Training School.

Dude, Where's my Car
I had wanted to see this movie for a while now and it was finally on TV last weekend. Unfortunately now that I've seen it I haven't actually got much good to say about it.It's kind of the same type of movie as Dumb and Dumber, so if you like that type of humour you might like this movie. It was quite vulgar and I wanted to shut it off after the first ten-minutes.
I'd say that you can give this one a miss and I would definately not recommend this movie for a Discipleship Training School.

Miss Congeniality II
I think that my mom said it best. A good, yet predictable movie.Tamara and I both enjoyed it quite a bit. Although it had a few of the same characters from the first movie, it was actually quite a different story line, which was pretty for for a sequel to a comedy.
The characters in the movie worked really well together throughout the movie. Sandra Bullock's character and the other main female character played really well off each other throughout the movie. This is a movie that I would recommend to rent, and I think that it would even be good for a Discipleship Training School.

The Dukes of Hazzard Movie!!!
Okay,
last night I watched he making of the Dukes of Hazzard movie and I am
VERY excited to see that movie! I just need to talk Tamara into
going to the theatre to see it. I have been trying to think of a
movie to see in the theatre since I was given a free pass in May, and
this is the movie. The Dukes of Hazzard
I was a HUGE Dukes of Hazard fan as a kid and seeing this making of really brought me back to being a kid again. This movie looks FUN. I couldn't help smiling and laughing just watching it, especially the General Lee jumping with the horn going! I got goose bumbs watching the trailer!
When I get back to Canada I am going to go for a hunt for my old General Lee Match Box car to give to Caleb to play with...
