"Sahara" the Movie

Posted on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 in Movies
Tamara and I rented the movie "Sahara" on the weekend.  The story is pretty far fetched, but it's a very fun movie to watch.  It's kind of like "Indiana Jones" or "Romancing the Stone", but a lot of fun.  Tamara even enjoyed it, which says a lot for an action movie.

I expected the sidekick to be a bungling one, but he actually turned out to be very competent which is a switch from most funny action movies.  It was also quite a clean movie to watch.  I can't remember any bad language and there is not sex or nudity, so it's one that I would probably even recommend for our Discipleship Training Schools to watch, and they hold a pretty high standard.

So while it's not a serious action flick, it's well worth watching if you want a good laugh and quite a bit of action as well.

A Couple of Good Movies

Posted on Monday, August 29, 2005 in Movies

This weekend I watched two good movies, both of them actually with Dennis Quaid.  The first one that both Tamara and I watched, and really enjoyed, was called "In Good Company" and was pretty good.  It was clean, entertaining and good for a laugh.

The other one that I watched was "The Rookie", which is also a lot of fun and the kind of movie that I watch and think of my dad...

You should be able to watch the previews for both of those movies on the links above.

Good and Bad Movies

Posted on Monday, April 11, 2005 in Movies

Tamara and I watched two movies last week.  One quite good, the other really bad.

The good movie was called "The Perfect Score".  It was a good story, clean and well done.  I would recommend it to most people.  The bad movie was "Tiptoes".  It was pretty well acted and the first bit was pretty good, but then it just ends.  It's as if the writer died in the middle of writing the movie, but they made it anyways, just finishing where the writer died.  Either that or it was meant to be a made for TV two episode mini-series, but they never did the send episode.

So I would highly recommend watching "The Perfect Score", but don't waste your time or money on "Tiptoes".
