A Day at the Townsville Museum - My Birthday

Posted on Saturday, January 19, 2008 in Personal
Caleb On my Birthday at the Townsville MuseumWe celebrated my 31st birthday last weekend as a family. It was a fun and low key day for us...
  1. Started with waffles and fresh orange juice for breakfast
  2. Headed over to the Museum of Tropical Queensland for some free family fun (the museum is free for locals, which is great)
  3. Had a terrific lunch with Tamara at Benny's Hot Walk Cafe
  4. Enjoyed a McCafe coffee with Tamara
  5. Drove around the "Townsville Town Common Conservation Park"
  6. Had a "Doughnut" birthday cake for afternoon tea with Tamara's Mum and Dad
  7. Had a relaxed evening at home
We actually ran out of time at the museum, so Caleb and I are planning to head back there sometime to check out the rest of it, including a large interactive section that we didn't even get to go into on my birthday.

It was a good fun day for all of us.

My Family Cracks Me Up

Posted on Thursday, December 27, 2007 in Personal
My family decided to send us a Christmas Song and video this year. They are in Calgary, Canada and I since they put it on YouTube thought that I would share it with everyone...

The people in the video are my Mom, Dad, sisters Jenny and Shannon and my Grandma:

They really make us laugh, and thanks to them for the Christmas song...

PersonalDNA - I'm a "Generous Builder"

Posted on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 in Personal
Although it is a long test my personalDNA report seemed to get me pretty accurately.

Generous Builder

The PersonalDNA test is eleven pages long, and takes a bit to get through, but the personal DNA test was pretty accurate for me.The Personal DNA test seemed to be a bit less accurate accurate for Tamara. I did the test pretty quick, mostly answering things right from my gut, where as Tamara says that she took a more time. Maybe that would have affected the accuracy of our PersonalDNA Tests.

I am 75% Addicted to Coffee

I thought that I was actually doing better with my coffee intake, but it looks like that isn't the case right now... Technorati Tags: ,

Caleb Hutchison - Future Calgary Flames Star?

Posted on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in Personal
I had a bit of fun playing around with the gimp photo editing program and made this image in about 5-minutes.

Caleb - Future Calgary Flames Player

I know that I could have probably did a bit better on the cutting and fading, but it was fun.

Are You Unoffendable?

Posted on Monday, August 27, 2007 in Personal
One of our "Top 10 Household Agreements" is to be "unoffendable". It's something that we have decided as a family is important to us, to not take offense to other people's comments or actions. We have our Household Agreements on the side of the fridge to remind us, everyday, of the importance of living by these agreements.

Lynn Green, the Chairman of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), has written a very interesting post about "If you become mature in Christ you will not take offense." He writes about how when we become offended it is our "ego" that feels it and it is the part that God has not worked on yet that gets "offended".

Being unoffendable is certainly something that I still need to work on, a lot (just ask my family). Read all of Lynn's post about "Offended" and then feel free to write your comments on Lynn's site, or back here.
