Tamara took this photo of me and Caleb in Interlaken, Switzerland when we were there for a marriage weekend with the staff from YWAM Lausanne.

Right now it's my current Windows Desktop Image and I certainly get a lot of comments about it from people when they come into my office.

Caleb Riding his Bike with No Training Wheels!

Jessica Walking Down the Townsville Strand

On Saturday we headed down to the Townsville Strand for a picnic, a walk and a bit of soccer. Jessica loved getting out and walked for about two blocks down the strand.

At first every time she got to a crack she would winge a bit and we would have to hold her hand across the crack. After a while though she would get really upset if we ever tried to slow her down or pick her up because she was having so much fun walking down the Townsville Strand.

They Are Building Under our House

Finally the construction of under our house has begun. We are already on our third builder, 12 - 18 months behind schedule and can no longer afford to complete the work, but at least it has finally begun.

We have been having a lot of hastles with our renovation project, so for this to finally happen, especially after having only been back in Townsville about 5-weeks, it really amazing.

You can read all about it at Renovate Australia, our home renovation blog. I will be trying to update it almost daily with the progress, but it's already started out very good.

Jessica in Hospital - No Walking Video This Week

On Sunday we spent a good part of the day in hospital with Jessica. She was having a lot of trouble breathing, so we took her to the Townsville Hospital emergency department to have her checked out.

When we were in London Jessica had a lot of trouble breathing and we ended up in hospital for three days (you can read the article at our ministry site.). There they diagnosed her with asthma so we had a puffer for her, but that wasn't helping us on Sunday.

Here in Australia they are hesitant to diagnose kids with asthma until they are at least 5 so that they can actually do the breathing tests required. As such she was diagnosed with bronchiolitis at the Townsville Hospital and sent home later in the afternoon.

While there Jessica managed to vomit all over her clothes, and cover my shirt with vomit. I had to wear one of the nice, attractive, green hospital scrubs home. We will be bringing it back with us when we go back to hospital for Caleb's bowel biopsy I guess...
