Bronx in Black (The rerun)My coworkers and I have officially experienced our 2nd blackout together. Thanks to a little foresight and our back-up generators, I'm going home at a decent hour tonight.
Watching your computer network go down in a flash of flickering lights is pretty unnerving. Beyond the initial "I-hope-this-isn't-terror-related" panic, there's actually plenty of cool stuff to do for half an hour in the dark.
I just can't think of anything that would be suitable for the office right now.
It would've been a pretty meek blackout had the outage not downed my computer terminal...My Windows 2000 kernel has been fatally corrupted. Just the sound of that tells me I'm going to be away from my desk for a while.
I just wonder whose lap I'll be sitting on for the next few days.
