Types of CCTV Cables

There are basically two types of cables mainly used when installing CCTV camera, namely coaxial cable and twisted pair cable.

This construction helps in the better transmission of electrical signals. In CCTV, the coaxial cables are terminated with a BNC connector.
• Twisted Pair Cable: Twisted pair cables are also used to install CCTV cameras and are a suitable option other than coaxial cable. These cables are also known as balanced video transmission cables.
