Sunday, May 20, 2007 - That Poison Pez I Mentioned...
Posted in Unspecified

Falwell hasn't even been planted yet and already the wackadoos are popping up to steal a little of his fundie thunder. Behold:

This guy calls some news agency or other every other week, claiming to have been some high-ranking member of some Pagan/Witchcraft/Wiccan/Satanist organization or other, then converted to christianity. His claims are so ridiculous it amazes me that even a tiny christian rag would give him the time of day any more, but apparently if you claim to be an 'eeeeee-viiiiiiilllllllll' (*insert title of religion that christianity spreads lies about here*) who converted, your conversion story is deserving of attention no matter how ridiculous it is.

Not only does he claim to have been guided by his 'superiors' (none in Wicca, just a High Priest and/or Priestess, and once you've gotten as far as he claims he did, you're pretty much your own Priest/Priestess), he says he was guided by said superiors to go to the 'next level', satanism.

Wiccans don't believe satan exists. He is a christian invention and part of their pantheon, not ours.

Also, as another poster on WV pointed out, moving upward in the Masons is a long and complicated process. My father is one so I know quite a bit about them, and there is no way this lying little shit managed to gain the status he claims in sixteen years.

People like this are the worst kind of attention-whore; exploiting a religion they have no knowledge about (except for the fact that christians have an unjustified bias against it), to get their coveted 15 minutes. It's time someone put a swift and final halt to Bill Schnoebelen's bogus claims and lies about Pagan religions he himself doesn't understand by refusing to give him the time of day.

Truth has to prevail at some point. People have to be willing to exert a little brainpower and stop believing every little lie that's spoonfed to them because it comes covered in the deceptive cloak of christianity. And for the sake of not embarrassing yourselves, journalists - do a little freaking research.
