Is there anywhere a thoroughly fed-up soon to be former iMac user like myself can find information on how to burn a CD of images from the desktop?
I got one burned with family photos from the iPhoto application, but the option does not show up highlighted in the options menu when I open the folder. I've tried highlighting and moving the images (all 2000+ of them) to the desktop, highlighting them in the folder, highlighting the closed folder and checking the options - nothing works. Apple is, as per their usual, no help whatsoever. I don't want to leave them cached on the iMac but it's starting to look as if I will either have to do that or start sending the images to myself via email, because I can (and will) load as many as I can to my paid host, but there's no way it could host them all.
No matter what I do I can't get anything to burn. The option is there but isn't clickable which means I can't use it for that particular folder. Some of my folders have disappeared as well. Won't even come up in the finder. Oh crud.
BUT I DIDN'T DELETE ANYTHING!!!!
I guess all that's left is to sort through my images and salvage the ones I absolutely can not be without because they were part of one of my template or other webpage designs and see if I can recover the rest later.
If nothing else was salvageable, at least I got to keep my family photos, which is the most important thing.
In case I haven't mentioned it recently, iMac sucks a fucking tailpipe.
