Dig this.

The sequence of events:
1) Guy busts his hump to finish law school.
2) Guy takes test and misses several questions, creating a situation in which his failure or success depends upon correctly answering one question
3) ...which he refuses to answer based solely upon it's supposed offense to his tender religious sensibilities.

To quote Napoleon Dynamite, "Frickin' IDIOT!!"

His claim that the question was put there as part of some covert screening process is ludicrous. The question directly reflects a potential attorney's understanding of the law, and this particular question is important because the laws regarding gay married couples are new territory. Also, Massachusetts is currently the only state that allows gay couples to marry and the issues of potential divorce, child support and division of property are important; it is imperative that potential attorneys familiarize themselves with the legal laws and solutions that specifically target GLBT couples.

If he's so offended by the concept of gay marriage he needs to either study to practice in a state that does not permit it (or civil unions, as he is obviously incompetent). If he can not set his homophobia aside long enough to even pass the bar then he has no business attempting to practice law in the first place.

If he had any kind of cognitive intelligence at all he'd have answered the question based upon his knowledge of the applicable laws, then gone on to set up a practice in which he could dictate whom he will and will not help. He could still be a homophobic bigoted jerk, but at least he'd be a bigoted jerk with a paycheck and a platform from which to practice according to his preferences.

Now what does he have? Not even smug self-satisfaction.

In short...no license, no employment, no pay and no intention of growing up apparently, as he has filed a suit alleging anti-christian bias. Dumbfuck.

HE screwed up but the state of Massachusetts should pay for it? I think not, and I'd be willing to bet the courts agree, as one does not have to be Sylvia Browne to see humiliating (and well deserved) failure in that guy's future. Legally he has to know he doesn't have a leg to stand on but he's probably hoping the publicity the case has drawn will afford him some leverage with the court. As in, 'hey, I'm really making you look bad and you can make it all go away if you just give me a few million, so pass that on. That's right. Who's yo daddy, bitch? Say my name!!'

Somewhere a village is noticing the absence of their pet idiot. And he's out barking at things he doesn't understand and attempting to shit in someone else's yard.

Please go get him.

Don't forget the shock collar.

You are so smart. I listened to a legal show and they concluded that he absolutely had every right to refuse to answer a question. He would then have to live with the consequences. They did mention that he is filing a lawsuit but he'll probably act as his own attorney because who would represent him? Just like the judge that sued for millions over missing pants. Ugh!

Not answering that one question wouldn't have mattered if he hadn't screwed up so many others, so focusing on one question out of many and shouting 'prejudice' qualifies him as a major dorkwad :)
