View from the top. I had the glimpse of it in an entirely different perspective during that phone call. Judging from the way the Major had spoken of it over the phone, I knew right then that trouble was lurking and that the Captains have tasted the wrath of her. The Major had conceived of it as utmost insubordination, one that she has never encountered her entire work life.
With her voice rising to the highest pitch shes heard her speak, the Major knew this was one of her firsts; first time to have heard of absolute absurdity to forgo the other territories to pursue one common goal- accumulation of such minute wealth for some remuneration of less value than the other proponents. Is this reasonable enough for the Major? Most definitely not, not in her lifetime.
After some tedious debates contesting each others stand, it finally boiled down to the fact that the highest ranking officer would obtain victory, the subordinates wager triumph and lost it. Alas! The major won the battle
