In a world where humans clamor for fame, power and success, nothing beats the real thing when it comes to Pinoy mentality of the climb to the top. Filipinos often have to kiss feet and worse smack and wipe butts to get to where they want. Sad but factual as can be. I cannot be speaking for everyone else but probably for my vicarious and my own experiences in this world, where people are so caught up with knowing and clinging to as many celestial beings hopefully to salvage them in times of need and greed.
We may not be able to deny this reality that bites us all, but we may be able to stop its propagation. Or so at least, I think there might still be some ounce of hope. Nonetheless, the verity surrounds us inevitably. Would we be strong enough to resist temptation? Would we be confident enough to believe in our own strengths that could bring us greater glory? What do you think? |
