The church lights sparkle in the shores of the now
As they shine up the way heading north
The car drove speedily up on the road
Carefully ditching the glimmering lights
We wind uphill and through the streets unknown
Breaking barriers and traveling on our own
No destination yet we thrive on adventure
What matters is now and nothing more
I glanced at you so mesmerized
Enchanted by the sweetness of your sight
You somehow seemed so caught in thoughts
The winds have changed from warm to cold
The numbness there almost made me froze
Speeding up against the total void
Yet I know the calmness I delighted in
Never failed to bring me ecstasy
I chill in the air but not in your arms
When darkness covers that where we park
I see me in your eyes as you looked endearingly
Never knew how fierce the fire you ignited in me
The air that chills now burns my skin
Of poison and love coming from within
I travel the land from south to north
And though years passed we seem to ignore
I only have thoughts today to live by
Of once in a lifetime you and I
