6/21/2007 - morning rains
Posted in Unspecified

Woke up to a fresh new Saturday morning today and saw that one heavy cloud formation up in the eastern skies seemed to be heading towards our direction.

We just got off from McDonald's uptown for breakfast when we drove back home to see this cumulonimbus cloud blocking the magnificent sunlight and I wondered, where is this cloud going? What is he up to this time?

Just in time as we parked the car the skies dimmed and the smell of water suspended in air was around. I stood outside to see that the clouds have indeed traveled west, passing our house, bringing along millions of water droplets my way. I saw it coming. I saw all of the rain coming as the water shone against the sun’s gentle rays, and as if in super slow motion, the tiny droplets of water about millions of them started to slowly pour in front of my amazed brown eyes. They were like golden tears of welcoming joys from heaven as we awake to the new morning.

I stood there mesmerized. I never knew how beautiful it is to be alive. I looked to the other side where the rain poured but the sunlight didn’t touch the waters but it was a plain view. Just gray or colorless water droplets falling. And I riveted to the angle, which stunned me. The rain fell heavily in beautiful colors of golden yellow and orange as if it had been a moving painting on a canvass.

I stood there for a moment in silence, speechless a spectator I was with nature’s profound beauty. And then I stopped to think that for each passing day, so many wonderful things have been laid down for our hearts to see, because sometimes the eyes are too blind to notice them.

Thank you Sun for the beautiful morning. Thank you God for the Sun, for my life and for all the blessings!
