Salud is hooked!

I'ts official. She's hooked. She is back on cam and this time on the set of the freshly re-packaged morning news show on ABS-CBN Cebu's Channel 3.
Catherine Gabronino, better known as Cathy Gabronino, is not entirely the latest addition to your regular regional Kapamilya viewing. She's been with ABS-CBN Regional Network Group since 2004 as part of the teen talents for the then Sabado Na Gyud - Ngiga Gud!, a variety show which used to air Saturday mornings right before the noon time Manila show begins. It didn't take a while before she landed on the microphone as guest co-host for Rico Lucena and Angela Calina's weekly talk show "Chikahay Ta" and became one of the co-hosts for SNG itself in the same year. Not long after she portrayed the role of Lianne in 2005 on the one-month run of For Life Presents Cebu's Idol as the rival-bestfriend of Christine Fernandez (Helga). Although two years after she had left the limelight for a lesser profile job at the outsourcing company which sought her services almost the same time as the network's, she came back mid-year of 2006 to tape the recent version of an old-time favorite flick of the Cebuanos, Milyonaryong Mini. It was a TV series-turned-movie in the 90's and together with lead stars Budoy Mirabilles (as Cosme) and Cherrie Lou Maglasang (as Petra) as well as on-screen partner Randolph Libres (as Berting), Cathy plays the character of Petra's sister, Salud, hence when you see her around the office premises it won't be new when you hear colleagues calling her by her n-screen name - SALUD!
It took almost half a year before she was called in again for a spot in Maayong Buntag Kapamilya - a long-time running morning news show which is a regional counterpart of ABS-CBN Manila's Umagang Kay Ganda. The light and bubbly personality she exudes on television adds a spicy sweet touch to the program which caters onlookers who would want the latest in light and heavy news, fresh features, extraordinary travelogues and guest interviews that would perk up your early morning viewing.
Catch Salud every morning at 6:30 on your watch from Mondays to Fridays together with the twosome anchors of ABS-CBN TV Patrol Vilma Andales and Rico Lucena in MAAYONG BUNTAG KAPAMILYA. :)
