2/10/2008 - A Cross-Examination of the Month Past
Posted in Unspecified

It took some long while before I could struggle away from the lack of time and space with which to dwell my restless thoughts long in agony of complete consumation and release. The over-worked body, the unfailing spirit, the burned out mind and the consumated heart have somewhat worked together to keep this poor soul up for the past several weeks. The vexations have never wandered beyond my sight but the determination to keep myself in focus is a long-treaded endless battle. I still somehow survived.

It dawned on me how this year could become one of the most challenging and climactic in my life. For one, my hard-earned relationship suffered a stifle at the start of the year. Then comes the unprecedented corporate demands due of my so-called step up the ladder and pre-occupation of new tasks and responsibilities. Another is the passing away of a loved one in the midst of trivialities in the family.

I think by now all aspects of my life have been or are being tested, much to my dismay and yet a little to my delight and favor. I realized that every sparkling gem was once an ore of earthen matter polished and tested to perfection.

I cannot say for sure I have become one as the frictions of my life have yet to come and are still buffing the dusts and particles off the surface to reveal the me I ought to be. Only through time can we tell whether the rock becomes a gem or a mossy stone.
