Spirits lost in the midst of voidness Seeking light from there and beyond Hope now slowly dying in darkness Found its drop of chance in the ocean Mind, body, heart and soul aching Pain throbbing in a man's contained chest A hand gripping mine's limp, lifeless fingers A salvation in the ruins' midst and glory Lips parched now touched and tasted its sweetness The eternal matter which gives us all life Ardorous sun dried my heart's desire But the gentle winds of midsummer night's love Caressed the warm longing spirit to life The unyielding now chained in his arms Wrapped in all tenderness and pure joy and delight That which has conquered has succumbed Trapped in a battle though with no indignation Thus when monarchs stand in might Helplessly face their sseetest triumph in defeat
