Fate in the Skies
Hundreds of feet above solid ground Thousands of steps below is water deep I loook beneath the clouds that hover 'round The mighty master's taken off his fleet The fear that struck the coward's heart Had eloped with the zephyr above the gentle skies Nothing left but sheer joy and anticipation In the union with one's pure love's delight Beyond yonder the puffy white cotton balls The vastness of blue in your eyes unfold Look down at the bottom on which you fall Deepest blue oceans and seas of them all So far away yet so near I see The distance I can barely tell But fly to your heart's content And die to your soul's regret Might I, might I save my soul tonight? Might you, have you known which is right ? Could we, would we savor love's bitter plight? Will we, must we endure the lone summer nights? And you, and me, are we ever to be? Love, fate, time and destiny, we'll see, we'll see... |
