     Well, This is the last blog I will have like this for about 9 months. Our last cow gave birth. PIMA gave birth to our third bull, Half Pint, on March 24th, 2008. He is the only calf to be born with a small white patch on his groin. He is only 2 days old now but already lets us give him a rub down and loves to run. He is already playing with his half brothers Keko and Touille. Keko is now 4 months old and Touille is 2 1/2 months old.
     We have been busy around the farm lately. Our neighbor's cows have been visiting our cows the last 2 days. They have Belted Galaway and a Black Angus. They broke through their fence and walked right over our fence to come see our cows. Big Boy and the Galaway love to play. It was hard to separate the 2 to get theirs back out to their field. We are hoping the snow will melt soon so this will no longer be a problem. The snow in some spots is covering both lines, 3ft tall, so our guys could actually walk right over the fence. The little guys do this, but they come back because their moms won't cross the fence. We have decided for next year that we have to put a 3rd line in the field.
     My mom has been working on her canning to perfect recipes for the summer so we will be able to sell them. I have been working with her to get labels printed up and trying to get the website set up to be able to take orders. Right now I can only get it working to be able to do check or money orders. I will have to play with it alittle more to see what I can do. Anyone who has any ideas please let me know. If we do sell it online, it will be on a small scale.
