It has been quite sometime since I had last written and I am indeed losing my touch. And now I am especially restless, because I am used to 12 hours day and now...........things are just mundane. Well, I guess I have to keep myself occupied-with online stuffs,books,my girlfriends,the boyfriend, running, basically LIFE.

The weekend was especially un-eventful,clearing my ever-messy room. Spent Sat afternoon and evening watching back episodes of SATC-the girls are the coolest. I WANT TO GO TO MANHANTTAN! I woke up at noon on Sunday, ate brunch and just girl-talked with my aunt. SHE BOUGHT ANOTHER GUCCI! A BOSTON! I told her no bags for me this year.....unless I am lucky eh,hehe.

And I was trying to complete watching The New York Minute. Just don't know why I had the sudden urge to watch the Olsen twins. But they are cute. Like really cute. Small elfin face and big eyes-like they never grow old. They are stylish in a kind of tween-way,but nothing inspirational. But suddenly rock shirts are cool on the Kate and how I wish I can wear one to work tomorrow.

Well, to make up for another dready Monday tomorrow, I will wear my bright green top,khaki pants and red shoes and brown bag. So what did you wear on your Monday?

So off I go for now. Prolly I will find something interesting to write eh?Meanwhile, stay interested!  

Late Saturday afternoon was especially great. I went thrifting! Digging up for treasures are indeed a great end to a great week. I was very lucky to find myself an oh-so-cool brown polka dot skirt and a wire-mesh bag-which I am so going to use as a handbag! Haha. I am indeed strange. But I only spent a minimal amount and hey, I got something cool! I also collected my oh-so-huge pale yellow cat-eye glasses. Its so huge on me!But I like! I paraded it around, and my sisters could not stop laughing at the very sight. Now I am having qualms to wear it. Nevermind, I shall wait when I am abit braver and I shall do so. Go me!

But hey hey hey, not for long!! Ok, it had almost been a month of slacking around. Sometimes I am rather enjoying it but sometimes I become restless. And my daily routine is like wake up, watch the tv with my sis and just hang around. Go online. Eat. Sleep. Read. And this continues for the like past few weeks (?). And today, I spent the late morning ironing, doing laundry and watching TV. And catching an episode of Sex and the City. And now, writing this entry. And waiting for Lizzie Mcguire the movie to load.

I was supposed to make one VERY important phone call which I procastinated till now. I am very bad.

Anyways, for the coming week, I would be working part time. Till the 8th. Get some dough. In fact I was lucky there was vacancy-like who would actually employ you for a short notice and for a short while? And after that, starting to become a corporatefreak. That's right, a corporatefreak. I finally had to surrender and become one. OMG. I am getting old. Haha. But hey, I guess its time to grow up and start being serious.

OK OK, now I sound very old. Stop it.

On a random note, I had my hair cut last Saturday and rather pleased about it. And shh...I got a student's discount. Now I wonder the essence of a truly good haircut. So what are the factors that truly determine one?Lets examine the following:

1. The cost- the more expensive it is the better?
2. Is washing the hair before the cut makes any different?
3. Gender of the hairdresser?

In answering the above questions :

1. This is rather subjective. My Jean Yip haircut- I did not really like it. Hairdresser was like....not customer oriented. There was once I had a cropped haircut, and people actually commented that it was nice. That, I believe, was one of the most expensive. But last Saturday's haircut, priced at $25, I had to admit I rather like it. The lady shampooed my hair well, great head massage and no fuss. Like some hairdressers go through your hair and said you need this product, that product bla bla bla. This did not. But I ended up buying a the shampoo and tonic and I think it is working well.
2. I hate it when your hair is cut and it falls down on your face. And last Saturday, none of it ended in my face. Must be the effects of a wet hair. Wet hair sticks together and therefore would not be flying off. Dry hair, on the hand, tend to fly away and fall on your face. Period. I shall have my hair washed next time.
3. Gender of hairdresser- this again is another subjective one. But I find it very odd and wierd when the guy cutting my hair is approximately my age or younger. Like do you let your other guy friends touch you around your face? Dang! But they cut ok. Like oh-so-gentle that sometimes I was bewildered like how can a guy be oh so gentle right? Or maybe its just me. For ladies, they cut ok-ok.

Well, that is my take on hair cut. Well, take note that my definition of an expensive haircut is not the same as yours. $10 is the cheapest I had and $35 was the most expensive I had. I have short hair and I always had it short. And I think I have to cut my hair each month, because it will grow crooked and I will look messy.

So, for this balance of Wed, Thur, Fri, the social calendar looks like this:

Wed: Make the IMPORTANT phonecall, Do that IMPORTANT visit, then down to sign and IMPORTANT document (but the 3 IMPORTANT stuffs do not relate to one other), meet the Aunt to do some shopping at Queensway and collect some CDs.

Thu: I start to part time work.

Fri: Work

I went to a girlfriend's wedding this evening and of course met up with the other girlfriends of mine. And when we girls meet, we do the thing we do best-gossip. Ah well. It was news that someone is going to get engaged early next month. I jolly well know the individual but I feigned ignorance when her name was mentioned. and comically looked puzzled. Yeah, of course I was invited, but I do not consider it an official one as 1. It was by word of mouth and 2. I am oh-so-well connected; I am on her Friendster list, 2.1. We know each other friends and hey, you could always get my number from any of them. If one wants to sincerely invite,one would go all means eh?

So now I wonder, was the invitation out of courtesy or just for the sake of inviting or announcing to the world that Hey, I am getting hitched!

Nah, I am not jealous for the fact that she is engaged and stuffs. Its good in fact. The thing is, she went silent after we graduated from secondary school. We were good friends in secondary three and four and we even looked out for jobs together after our Os. But of course we got busy and stuff and we did not often contact. But it was understandable.

I remembered contacting her, after the start of the Poly semester, asking her how stuffs and all. Well, I guess if one has newfound friends, why bother with the old ones eh? And not oh so cool ones like me. (But hey, WHAT IS COOL eh?) I called her and we had a stunted conversation, me trying to think of something whereas she is trying to get off the phone as fast as possible. I felt foolish at that moment.

So the thing is now, out of the fucking blue, she decided to invite her friends (unofficially) to her engagement. I may be wrong, but this is oh so superficial. We had not contacted for years ( I am almost done with 2 institutions of higher learning and had my  fair share of the world) and suddenly she appears. GREAT COINCIDENCE eh? So I told my girlfriends : Is friendship like insurance, whereby its renewabel annually then chuck the certificate in the drawer. And in the case of this so-called friend, pops up out of the sudden blue with an unofficial, half-hearted invitation?

The thing is, I am not trying to sound petty. I may not be the most perfect friend either, but I believe in putting in at least some effort. And I definitely not one of those girls who devote each and every minute of her free time with the boyfriend. To those girls, GET A LIFE eh? And the best part, when things did not go as well  with the boyfriend, they come sprinting back to you.

So I shall conclude that, 1. Family is important. 2. Friends are too . 3. Boyfriends/Girlfriends are important. 4. Career is too 5. Spiritual strenght is a must.

Its the matter of balancing of the equation.

3 : Calls since last Thursday with regards to my job application. One from a recruitment agency, another from NTU and another from an insurance company. And I hope to get NTU though! Wish me luck!

29: Spent on a black thin belt

10: Days taken for leave this month. Unpaid. But I don't care.

I write crap. Too bad.

Well, this is just a short update before I start making coffee and cramming the notes. I have loads of readings to do (like urgh!). Accounting Theory is like next Thursday while Ethics is like the following Tuesday. Wel,, gotta cram!

Meanwhile I need to make a songlist good for studying. It cannot be too slow or I will definitely sleep on my notes and drool all over it. Eurgh.

And also, I need a career change. Like NOW. I am sorta (actually VERY SICK) of the current workplace. Indeed I took 10 days leave this month and I don't care. I hope I leave alot of shit.

And I had applied to numerous corporations and I need them to call me FAST. And I am hoping for CPG to like call me QUICK lah! I don't know if I should apply for hte Big 4 though.

I think I shall tender on this coming Tuesday, 23rd October. I cannot take it already. Someone oh please someone call me TOMORROW FAST!

I would like hold tightly to his wrist and he tries to pull away from me! Hehe. My two very cute heros!

Carrie Bradshaw has like the most finest shoes!!Ahh...a $300 pairs of heels to the stables....ah...but it was gorgeous!!

And today, in the afternoon, was Gossip Girl Episode 1 and The L Word episode one. MY, The lesbians are indeed HOT!!!Marina just oozes that sexy confidence that spells D.A.N.G.E.R and Bette has this one strong independent woman hard-as-nails career woman vibe out from her. But Tina seems to give me this impression of one mousy woman. Bette seems to take over her. Jenny is one elfin of a woman,so petite and cute and fragile.

Ok I shall stop gushing about the women-but they are hot!

Last weekend was spent at COMEX. The Officer bought like all his computer pheripherals and stuffs and what not. And I was lost in all the gigabytes talk. Of RAMs (arent they sheeps?haha) and all these wierd sounding terms(to me at least!). Well, The Officer is such a computer geek and I still cannot believe it. Oh so geeky!OMG! I like!Haha. Just hear The Officer talking about computers and all I was visualising is all those cool computer geeks in US colleges.But nevermind!

And the best part-I got a laptop.I think that is the best item for the day!Courtesy of The wonderful Officer!

And what's left is to get wireless connection-and presto-I will be one happy girl.(Maybe happier after I get my Blahniks?Haha)

Also got myself a very 'blonde,ditzy' literature.

Well, it was indeed a very geeky weekend with not-so-geeky looking boyfriend. I look geeky but the boyfriend is the ULTIMATE GEEK! Haha.

Monday rolled in. Settled stuffs here and there. Took urgent leave on Thursday. Because was oh-so-fucked up with workload. And went to Orchard with Giggles! She bought shoes,clutches and all her stuffs for a dinner. And all I bought was a pair of socks and Barbie for Princess Fafa.

And I think SpongeBob and Patrick are the best duo!I love them to bits. Their antics never fail to make me laugh. And Squidworks is actually kinda cool.In a mean way.

And this morning, I rushed though my financial reports only to be told just 10 minutes ago that the monthly meeting is cancelled.

Great. Just great!

Geeks are the Best!

Its been good for the past 2 weeks. Met up with friends, having fun and just enjoying what passes me by. National Day was spent at home just relaxing. Caught a Rock showcase at the Esplanade on the 11th-I liked the sound system there. The acoustics are definitely good! Well, I am now kinda of saving up to watch perhaps another show there.

And celebrated two birthday in 2 weekends-first being Yana's at KTV and Cynthia's in town. And during Cynthia's birthday, I had especially enjoyed the dessert at Bakerzin!Gracious, the Warm Chocolate Cake is to die for. Joey said,for her birthday, she wants a year supply of Bakerzin's Warm Chocolate Cake. And she really liked the cake so much that she said that she does not mind licking the chocolate sauce off the plate! Well, its that sinful and wonderful!

Well, it is great to meet up with the girls for girly girly talk and good food. We had Cynthia's birthday at Jack's Place for which i ate US Catfish. The others had steak,which I eyed jealously! Nevermind!

Met up with the Officer for Sunday lunch. We wanted to have brunch at McDonalds initially. But hey, as we were walking around Taka, my $5 fuschia pink left sandals gave way and we had to find new shoes!Talking about embarassing! And as we were walking to Far East, the right pair gave way too!!Talking about double embarrasament!!I stood in the middle of Marriot (?) struggling to get the shoes off. The Officer, armed with his Boy Scout skills, skillfully secured the shoe to make it walkable at least till Far East. Well, when I got my new white pair, I was one happy girl!

We had lunch of Ayam Penyet. Both (!) of us had 2 servings of rice and my we enjoyed the lunch tremendously. We then made way to Plaza Singapura to catch this anime-Brave Story. I used to scoff at animes-thinking it was just cartoons! But animes actually have a hidden lesson moral behind it. I enjoyed it.But with a full stomach and the aircon, I almost wanted to doze off!But I tahan all the way. But our dear Officer he dozed off! Haha. And he snored! Haha! Its so funny! Haha.

Well, for this weekend,I had made plans to watch Hairspray! I bet it would be good. I just have a thing for the 60s and their clothes!

And of course chores-ironing,laundry and cleaning.

And also my ethics report due on the 30th August!!

The effects of a short nap + caffeine=the best. The caffeine just jolts you up. Ain't that great! And all seems clearer and you feel oh-so-motivated to work.

Well, I am alone in the office. Bosses are out and well, I am the Queen of the castle. Haha.And I spent doing some serious surfing around in the morning. And I started on serious work after lunch. Or rather-after my short nap and the shot of coffee.

Today is Wednesday and it is going to suck as I have stupid Accounting Theory class later on.Shit shit shit.

And i do want something from Naf Naf. Their summer collection is oh so beautiful. Very.

Since it costs a bomb, I make do with my latest purchase yesterday-a "Little Miss Late" Shirt.

Oh how appropriate!

There had been a flurry of activities these days, so many that when I want write an entry,it becomes incomplete. Indeed the past weeks-work is not excatly great. Being reprimanded is no great fun ya. But it keeps you on your toes. And yeah, on your toes to run out from the organization. But hey, maybe I was too petty. Hmm...

But meanwhile, work-wise things are abit ok but still dreadful. By this Friday, there is a tender to complete and I have not started on my GST computation and the bigger accountant is running after me and FUCK I have not done a single thing. And I have to consolidate the accounts for the year by end of this month. Fuck oh fuck. And then, I have some side-stuffs which I have to clear too! Oh FUCK!

But that's work! I wanted to run away, but there are a few factors to consider though. And The Officer said to wait for my degree and off I can fly! Haha.

Besides the grueling worklife, hey,theres my social life too. This weekend, my cousin is getting married and I bet its going to be busy. And of course, the question as WHEN it would be my turn. Then of course, I shall say Daddy is not letting me getting married! Haha.

Backtracking last weekend, I spent the Saturday cleaning,laundrying and all the boring stuffs. And Sunday, I watched Harry Potter with The Officer and we were utterly dissapointed. I mean there should be more fighting scenes and all. Because the last scene is rather crucial. And there were many great parts of the story that was sadly cut off! Haiz.

But well, after the movies, we met up with His brother and sister-in-law and their two princesses! Princess No.1 was full of mischief while Princess No. 2 was sleeping all they way. Princess No. 1 had bought a new princess gown. She was showing it off to me and Rizal. I teased her, saying that I will take it home with me-which she of course would not let that happen! She was so scared that I will actually will bring it home with me. When they drove me home, she insisted that she get out of the car, and off she goes running to the boot to retrieve her gown! Gracious! Haha. She was hugging the bag to herself and refused to let me touch an inch of it! Such a cutie pie!

Well, I have loads to write actually, but hey, I need to complete the stupid stuffs again! Haiz! Till then,so long my friends! And the best part, I have class after work! Haiz! Life is so sweet eh!

But well, this week started rather well. Met My Officer for coffee after work and Miss Manager on Tuesday evening. And well, I bought a pair of red jeans courtesy of Miss Manager!

Well, for the weekend, I have my colleague's wedding reception to attend and my sister will be back from China from her study trip. I wonder what she will bring back for me.Hmmmmmmmm..........and I warned her:NO CARTOON SHIRTS FOR ME!

In short, I had LOADS TO DO!But sometimes it comes to a saturated point whereby the optimum condition of the employee declines. Thank goodness I did not have to go to the Expo today! I still have loads to do for tomorrow and indeed I am going bonkers. I don't have to sleep tonight I guess.

Just in case you are wondering whats up Dude: The company is holding an exhibition at the Expo Hall 8. And yours truly have to handle almost everything. Haiz. And my suffering would only end Fri 22nd June. Its one busy week I tell ya.Maybe I would not have hair by then.Oops!!

And 23rd its the RV gig. My my my. What an eventful week its going to be. I am so going to spend my Sunday lazing around at home.

On another note, it really fucking sucks when people judge you with what you wear.I know my shirt is $10,my cargos are old with an orange streak paint, my sneaks are dirty and my bag is not LV or Gucci. My hair is in a mess and I am due for a haircut soon. And there you are,with your nice well cut clothes and shoes. Looking at me disdainly. One may not voice it out,but hey I felt it so.

And I am utmost surprised I got such a Look.

But well, I know I cannot dress up well unfortunately. And most unfortunately,physically, I am not as blessed as you. And I know I don't earn as much to afford such expensive stuffs.

Well,if outlook appearance is really critical, then.....I rest my case.

But then, I am just glad I have people like Miss Manager. My Officer. Peeps like Airin and Ash who boosts my ego.

They are the coolest I tell ya.

And when you know people like them, who cares if the shirt is faded? That the hair is in a humungous mess?

Just before I delve back into my crazy mess: Please don't judge people by their outlook. You are pretty and beautiful, yes. But that does not give you the license to look disdainly at others who as not as blessed. We are humans too. With feelings.

With that, I think I have to go for a haircut.Soon.

Ah,it seems that I am not the only one suffering because of the shoes. Currently, I am in training of wearing heels. And in fact I am a true blue Converse girl. But I am currently dating a very tall man, but alas, I am oh so short (sigh!). This means I must suffer alot. But well, all in the name of style! Well, practice practice practice! Haha.

And I suddenly had the urge to shop. Oh no! My current obsession right now is with skirts-circle skirts.Ah, its so feminine and all.And I think I need to get more nicer tops. I realized that my fave M&S shirt is getting kinda of....old. Well, Great Singapore Sale is coming up and hey, maybe I shall shop like mad (like I always do!) Means I must do up my shopping list!

I am supposed to do work on this Friday afternoon, but hey, I am happily surfing around and doing nothing. And things at Target is oh so nice!!!! Its an unfortunate (or rather fortunate) that I do not have credit card.

Why why why is there oh so many things to buy!Sigh!
