If one is asked what a forest is, one would answer: "A place where there are many trees" or something like it(well, usually)..

The fact that people tend only to look at forests as trees, not forests as forest. If one planted a thousand of trees, he only planted trees and not a forest. For a forest is not only about trees, but about other living organisms on it as well. One tends to look at only himself and other individuals. One thinks about the society as an individual, not as a society itself. I think it is time for each one of us to realize that it is not only about ourself and about individuality but it is about "us", as a group, having a good relationship with one another. Just like a forest where the trees live harmoniously with other living creatures and to other trees also. They also compete with other trees and help them as well like during pollination. All we have to do right now is to act like a forest, not as trees but the forest itself. Learn to value others and unite with others for our better future. When we unite, we can make a better and thicker forest, and our forest will be hard to be deforested...
