The practical side of this page helps Brant to come up with a CB handle! - 9:48 AM, 9/1/2005 |
Brant and Mike loaded up the WAY-FM SUV and headed to the panhandle to drop off the supplies that YOU donated for hurricane victims along the gulf coast. Joining Brant was Kim Stryker from Summit Christian school driving the 26' truck the school donated and following Kim was Tony from Capri tours who donated a 45' bus! There were lots of diapers and wipes to get to young families. Phillip says: Captain Fantastic Elastic
Nancy suggests: the PIED WIPER- I personally really like this one! Feel free to e-mail suggestions to studio@wayfm.com
Brant and the South Florida convoy will meet up with Convoy of Hope to load all of the supplies that YOU provided into the semi that will go into the most effected areas and hand out free, clean diapers and wipes for babies and young families in need. |

Steel Strings

Static builds up when fabrics rub together and exchange electrons," says Behnam Pourdeyhimi, director of the Nonwovens Cooperative Research Center at North Carolina State University, in Raleigh. "Dryer sheets contain positively charged ingredients (Brant, don't you find this fascinating?) that are released by heat and movement, such as the tumbling motion of the dryer. These ingredients bond loosely to any negatively charged fabric surface (see, more cool science stuff), such as a piece of clothing with static cling, neutralizing the charge and acting as a lubricant."
