7/10/2006 - The worst joke I

OK, so I was at this party a couple of years ago, and there was this buffet. While I was standing next to a table full of turkey legs, a crowd seemed to gather around these culinary atrocities. One guy, who had finished one suddenly leaned the bone against a treshold and stepped on it, breaking the bone. He then picked up the pieces, held them aloft triumphantly, and asked the crowd what it was. When no one came up with the correct answer, he spoke: "This is a bone apart."

So far so good, but a few months later I was at a wedding reception, with another table full of turkey legs. Then a guy who had stood among the crowd at the other party broke a turkey bone, showed the pieces to everyone jaded enough to care, and asked what it was. Again no correct answers, and then the guy said: "This is Napoleon."

What is with you and turkey legs and the odd obcession of people using them to make Napolean jokes? LOL that is pretty funny it is so bad.

Those really are bad. My eyes! My eyes! I think you will have to research turkey leg jokes so the next time someone tells a bad one in earshot, you can counter with a good example.

The most terrible thing about this joke is, that it's translatable into Dutch. Instead of turkey legs you would use coffee beans (koffieBONEN). You show the crowd a handful of beans, and then pick one up and show it to the crowd separately. A separate bean translates as a boon apart.
