This may, or may not, be my final session on JH this year, so I decide to devote an entry to wrapping up the year 2006, and who knows, discard it. I'm not dissatisfied with this year. Could've been a lot better, yes, but it might well have been so much worse. One really positive thing I might say about this year, is that it was thoroughly interesting. I've been a hospital patient for the first time ever for instance, at the tender age of 25 mind you, I've chosen a new dentist who immediately saw things wrong with my teeth, and decided to save them. That too saw me in hospital, where I had my rotten wisdom teeth removed, I've been to Canada to mingle in the life of the person I consider my best friend ever, and lastly, but certainly not least, I've started blogging.
The decision to start doing this is one I took overnight, although it did take another three weeks, before your favorite blog, 'the Dutchboy Xperience', was launched. I started with phantom accounts in LiveJournal, Blogstream, Yahoo, Web-Log.nl, one I can't remember, and JournalHome, just to see which one had the most to offer. JournalHome won this little contest gloriously. I really don't understand the excessive popularity of Live Journal. Even back in March JH had much more, and this site has only improved since.
I also love the JH blogger community, and I'm proud of whom I have managed to attract as friends. SilverWind was the first, and the fact that she had read my writings and commented on it was what made me decide to go through with it. Thanks! Oh um, if someone reading this does NOT like my blog, you can blame SilverWind, hehe. I must also thank Dawnie, fightingfemale, Soraya, Fakhrahassan, and Dave1972, for adding me to their friends list, and Heather, Trampoleena, BlendedTwinkie, MisCatt875, and JournalHome for posting comments. Lastly, I hope Soraya, and Fakra Hassan return sometime soon, and that Marilyn eventually puts her blog to use, or posts a few comments.
Thanks to StatCounter.com, I have also discovered my blog has been found from an unexpectedly wide variety of countries. I really don't know what I'd have to google to be led to my site, other than my name, but some people do find it that way. The list of countries my blog has been viewed from is as follows: -Australia -Austria -Canada -Egypt -France -Germany -Hungary -India -Indonesia -Iran -Luxembourg -Malaysia -Netherlands -Pakistan -Philippines -Singapore -South Africa -Sri Lanka -Sweden -Switzerland -United States
I'm impressed, at least...
Finally, all of you who read this, have a safe passage into the New Year!
Well I am glad I was of some help, and I am glad you decided to stick around here at JH, it has been nice knowing you, and I have always enjoyed your entries and comments and hope to continue to do so. And I will be happy to take the blame, I am use it it I can take it, hehe
Dutchboy,
Happy New Year to you. Hope you had a great christmas and thanks for all your messages on my blogsite - they were very much appreciated. Like you with Silverwind, it's nice to have evidence that someone out there is reading your stuff!
Can you direct me towards your piece on futility?
Dave! I can't remember writing a piece on futility, instead I regard this very blog as futile. It isn't as there are readers, but it's almost. If, by the way, I can interest you in the football club I've been a member of for a long time, please click on the De Blokkers link on the right, in the links menu.
Also, about a half hour ago, I've had my first recorded visitor from Belgium. Welkom/Bienvenue/Willkommen! Visit again soon!
I read your post shortly after it was written and have decided to stop procrastinating and get my thoughts together. I clicked into your name under the 'most active by comments' section and got an "oops, the page you've requested cannot be found". I copied and pasted the addy...journalhome.com/dutchboy or something like that....same message! Panicky, I went into the Members section and that link worked. I love your re-cap. You've inspired me to do one. This scare confirms it..I love your blog. I've leaned many interesting things. I must confess. I am INSANELY JEALOUS! I want to be Sandusky Ohio!!!! I covet your Sandusky Ohio!! That is a port town for Great Lakes shipping, my new interest..which proves that I should be Sandusky Ohio too! Wahh. I can't get it to come up when I take the test. Anyway, have a great New Year!
G'day Duthboy, I have been a bit tardy with my comments of late and have missed responding to you as I should have and this little post mentioning all your readers and friends sparked a little urge to get the message/comment board into action and print you a few words. Thank you for your welcome comments over on my blog. I always enjoy hearing from you and I in turn, always enjoy browsing through your blog. Happy New Year to you and those you love and care for. May the year of 2007 be blessed with love, happiness, peace and good health of mind, body, spirit and soul.
Take good care and stay safe, happy blogging and I hope many inspirational thoughts flood your mind and onto your blog. Love and ((((hugs)))) from your blogging Cobber Dawnie.
I just discovered that I have forgotten one country in the above list: the United Kingdom. I'm glad The Groundhog missed this, as he is from England. Hopefully he doesn't take offense in this... I've also had one recorded hit from a server based in Scotland, by the way.
No, I haven't returned to MySpace. This acquaintance goes back eleven years.

You are Sandusky, OH
Loser! You are boring, have no sense of adventure, no sense of humor, you have no friends, in fact you're no good to this world. You are definitely Sandusky, OH!
Famous Sandusky, Ohio, residents: probably a few hockey players, but no one worth a second glance
