Yup, this is the topic of the day. What is there to understand about it? It is something that no amount of money can buy. In fact, money is what can destroy it. Little bribes here and there to important people can actually compromise the integrity of a whole corporation. Such is the power of money. Yet this is not what I want to talk about. What I really want to touch on is the building of trust. It is a time consuming thing and a lot of effort is needed to achieve it. However, it is easily breakable and the bridge is not easily mended anymore. So how do we develop this precious thing? First of all, get to know the person. Know his personality and his attitude towards various things. Next, decide if these things align with your own values. Evaluate his ability to complete tasks. Then look for the chemistry when working together. If everything seems to be in order, feed this relationship with time. Time is needed because people change and sometimes not for the better. The initial stage could have all been an act to trick you into tusting him. Such traps do exist and it is only nieavity that causes us to forget about them. Once you feel that the time spent is enough for you to know the other well, add trust into the equation.
