Tired. Relaxed. Yawn.Tomorrow it'd be my turn for enlistment. No biggie's about it, just "Meh, I'm going to military school".
On the bus back from bugis, I thought about this entry. I wanted to write something to everyone I knew, who made a difference in my life. And it'd be too damn long and tiring and I don't even know where to start.
I don't know the meaning of "try" anymore.
............................................................
But I thought I'd give it a shot. Not all of them gets to read this, but still.. Oh well.
Ambrose: Thanks for all the lessons in life you taught. I've learnt that challenges builds competence, and competence builds more challenge. You will always be my stepping stone in rising to greater heights.
Richard: You're like a brother to me. Never once did I feel down and useless in your presence. Able to accept what I do and who I am is your greatest merit and I won't forget that.
Kouri: The love we shared will always be that which completes me. Your presence is comforting. Even if we stay as friends, you will always be a treasured one.
Shereen: Our time together was short, but you taught me much. How to love coffee and fish soup. How one should trust wholeheartly. And how to thank people - you are the backbone of this entry.
Ambrose's mum: For all your hospitality, care and concern, thank you. For being tolerant and understanding, thank you. For all that good food, thank you.
Kouri's mum: Thank you for standing by her all these times, even when it's not the wisest or most ideal situation. Your love for your daughter always makes me so envious.
Shereen's mum: I look up to you for your insight and wisdom. Being able to always make a good decision is not easy. That's something I really respect.
Darran: You're probably the only guy of all my bugis friends who's not afraid of showing emotions to everyone. That is what it really means to be a man.
Jian Ping: You taught me what it means to have a strong partner. To lead, sometimes you'll have to follow. Thank you.
Shawn: I'm sorry about that incident when I lost it. It taught me self-restraint, not to take everything so damn seriously. Relax and enjoy life for what it is.
David: I've always wondered how you can stay confident in a group of people you don't really know well. I now understand. Nobody can bring you down if you don't bring yourself down.
Benny: From you, I've learnt what it means to be a leader. You don't have to try to get into everyone's good books. Having a good character is good leadership in itself.
Roseline: Even when we never had a chance to catch up, I respect you a lot. You have a lot of will to go, try, and achieve.
Kelvin: You are a smart guy; it's in your blood. I've learnt from you that only you can kill your own ideas and creativity.
Lisha: For all that thoughtful-ness and consideration towards your friends, I respect and learn from you.
Dean: The friend who always gave good advice and also accepting who I am. And that everyone can reach the top.
Apple: You are special. You make me realise that everything can have a nice ring to it; that it can be beautiful. And to appreciate things for what it is.
Kevlyn: A jack of all trades, even though master of none, can easily relate stuff with others. And that is a great gift. Being the same kind of person in this respect, little wonder we still are good friends. Thank you.
Pei Fang: You are kind, friendly, loyal and cheerful. Everything I'd like to be. Thank you for being my role-model.
Yi Jin: You have a lot of drive to push your dreams, goals and sharpen your talents. It motivates me to do the same. And even though I never say it, you do have a comforting presence.
Iqbal: You made me realise why it's a joy to help others with stuff you always do; what you're good at. And sometimes to learn how to get up, you have to fall down.
Dian: You made me realise what an asshole I've been. We all really shouldn't say things we don't mean. If I never met you, I'd probably still be a jerk.
And fellow JH writers who left comments here(MisCatt875, Soraya, corporatefreak), thank you.
