How Karaoke Machines Started and Progressed
The invention of the karaoke machine has really taken the music world to its best. Folks of all ages, all genders and all types of voices, may it be good or bad, this karaoke machine can be very much enjoyed.
You get to read a guide on how to sing with programmed music. The way of how it progressed over the years will be presented too.
Where Karaoke Machines Came From
The very first machine was basically invented in Japan during the 1970s. The singer named Daisuke Inoue developed a tape recorder that could play a song for a 100-yen coin. There were those who listened to his performance and asked him so many time to provide his song on a tape recorder so they could sing along during a company vacation.
Daisuke made some reflections and he thought it was indeed a great idea and could be applied not only for his song but for all other songs. Instead of selling it directly to the people, Inoue leased it to stores.
The restaurants and hotel rooms were the major places that these machines were placed. His invention made him win the tongue-in-cheek Ig Nobel Peace prize in the year 2004.
Karaoke Reaches USA
Karaoke machines was able to reach the United States during the 1990s. Basically it began when bars which can be called KTV boxes too began having competitions or fun nights for amateur singers.
Many Advances
Karaoke machines started to have and used cassette tapes at first and through time there was an advancement since it made used of CDs, laserdiscs, VCDs and today's DVDs.Unlike the original machines, these newer ones are now with audio input, audio output, and a way to alter the pitch of the music. Audio mixers are the ones that are so popular today. These mixers can include a microphone input that's built in with a Laser Disc, Video CD, CD+G or DVD player. Those karaoke machines in which you can see the video lyrics display are called KTV in many countries.
Today, changing the pitch of the music, or key, to fit the vocal range of the singer is also being made possible in these machines. So through this known feature, songs that are too high for the singer can be played in a lower key.
Computer Generated Songs Invention
Technology has really made a lot of improvements since even the karaoke songs can be played and listened to all computers everywhere via music files such as MIDI, MP3 and many others. The said machines are not anymore needed for this to work but all you need is a downloadable karaoke player. The players and the song files are downloaded on the internet.
Much Better Adances Are Still Coming
Like our other technologies, the karaoke machines are also being modernized. Not so long from now people will be able to experience a great transformation from one that is auto karaoke to mobile phones, to basically let the people "sing along" from just about anywhere before long.
