11/6/2005 - I'm a Quitter
So! This is my new blog; it's fun to restart from scratch. I guess I just felt like dumping the other one. ... And on that note, I think I quit National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo,
a yearly contest to write a 50,000 word novel in one month, in case you
didn't know) after just 2,622 words out of 50,000 written. Why? Well, I
guess I don't feel like screwing myself over in terms of grades,
videogames, judo, and sleep just to write a novel that I'll end up
hating myself for writing. That, and I'm freaking lazy I
totally lost focus. I should have prepared my storyline better before
November started. Now, I don't have any chance of catching up and
making 50,000 by the Nov. 30 deadline even if I did regaine my drive.
But since it might look good on my college apps, maybe I'll try
again next year?
... Probably not, considering that's my senior year of high school. Well, whatever. Also,
in other news of major suckage, the Dec. 3 SAT I'm taking happens to be
the same day of the Obukan Judo tournement. I guess it's my fault for
not registering before the Nov. 4 SAT deadline, but man. ;_; Anyway ... The Awesome Download of the Post: Portable USB-Drive-Friendly Firefox!
Obviously, this is awesome if you've got any sort of portable hard
drive. It's fully-functional, so you can take all your bookmarks and
plugins and whatnot with you wherever you go. I use this on my iPod,
allong with the portable Thunderbird to check podcasts. Now for the Kabe, it's up, up, and awaaaaaayyyy ...
