Ok this will kind of explain the day today. We are poor, I know we are poor, I wish we wasn't but hey that is just the way it is for right now so we all just have to get use to it. Well Nick comes home with a note from school yesterday about his lunches there. I get a check at the begining of the month for $603! By the middle of the month I am just about as broke as you can get. They want to tell me my kid owes 2.65 and that they are not going to let him eat if he doesn't pay it today. Well Sai knows I have no money and he tries to hide it. Then this morning he wants to wake up and tell me he doesn't have school today. I know it was a big pile of bullshit so I offer to drive him to school, thinking the problem was on the bus (new town, new school he may not like the new bus!). I start laundry before I get going and find the note in his pocket. Well he is all like "No biggie mom" but I tell him I will take care of it today. Sure enough I go right up in the school, got to the cafeteria and want to know who I have to talk to. They point me in the general direction of a guy (who is not cute in the least) so I walk up to him. I begin to explain the situation, mustering my cutest most flirty personality at 7:40 in the morning. And ya know what he does?! (Of course you don't! You weren't there...) He wipes out the account and post a note that there are no more notes to be sent to us. He promises that we will not have this problem again, he is seriously sorry about it to begin with. I do the sweet smile of a woman who just got what she wants and awww ain't you just sweet and turn to walk away. I am half way across the room (which is a good size room) when he calls out to me "Try to have a good weekend." No he didn't!!! Right there in front of 100 elementary kids and the man hit on me. I smile at him, say "You too Honey" and vamp (the whole time thinkin "Damn it's good to have the GP" [explain the GP in next post.]) I am tellin ya right now....this is gonna be a good year for us. We didn't know it for the first half of the year but the planets must have moved out of our way because it is gettin a lot better lately.
