Another early morning argument with the boy about school. He doesn't want to learn new words (who can blame him?) and I have to fight to get him to study. I actually told him he didn't have to but if he failed his test he was not allowed on the computer anymore. Off he stomped, in the best huff an eight year old can manage at seven in the morning. But then, true to my son, he came back and did it. He has a fear of failing (or more like a fear of losing his computer privliges) but either way he came back and proceeded to study and write the words I told him to. By the time he went to school, he was in an ok mood (I had to make him upset before school. It makes for a bad day for both of us) so maybe that was the extent of the problems for the day. On top of that we both have some sort of the flu. Mine is more in the stomach area whereas his is like the actual flu without the fever and aches. I am hoping we are both over it by the weekend. I am not up for drivin for 3 hours when we both feel like death warmed over. We shall see... |
