Sai's Friday
I went to pick up Sai from school and he had talked to the therapist there. Apparently it went really good because he came out of school all talky and was saying the best things I have ever heard come out of my man's mouth. First things first, he is scared all the time. He is having severe seperation problems which can account for the problems we are having with the sleeping arrangements and with the phone calls all the time. So the therapist must have asked about it because he tells me he imagines we have big mean dogs like Baby Girl and Diamond (pits) around us to protect us. He thinks if he can imagine them there to protect us he can bring them up if we ever need them. Next thing, he is lonely at school. They have him at the end of the line by himself because he tends to talk, talk, talk. So he ends up with no one to talk to and is lonely. I feel bad for him but I do know he has at least one friend there (a little skateboarder kid) because I had lunch with the both of them last week. He is just lonely because a lot of these kids have known each other since they started school and he is the new guy. I told him it will be ok. He will make friends. Speaking of makin friends, I signed him up for the Big Brother program. He will finally have a positive guy role model instead of someone who goes to jail every other month. We got to talkin about if he is adjusting well to the move. I really wanted to know if he is having fun since he moved here because I know that he had fun in W'boro. He said (and this is a direct quote) "I have fun where ever we are as long as we can talk together." Now how great is that? He is ok as long as he can talk to his momma! I wonder how many more years I have of that, before he changes his mind and I become another no one in his life. |
