The circle of life (part 1)
Bokey and his wife had a child, a boy, but he dies at birth. They were heartbroken but went on to have more children. After that first boy came a long line of girls before they were to have Greg. Greg was the first boy (to live) and in his father and mother's eyes that made him just a little less than a god of some sort. It made him the first "known" Golden Child in this family. Through his youth, he was a good boy but he grew up to be a bad man. Before anyone could see his "bad" he got a girl, who was 16, pregnant. Nine months later, there was Seth, all the Gold from his father passed on to him. He is the only child this girl ever gave birth to. The girl started to see the evil in the man and Gold in the child. The child's Gold shone brighter than the man's so the girl took the child and ran. She ran as far as she could and hide out for the rest of his childhood. As you have probably guessed now, that child grew up to be a man. He was another awful man (abusive, alcoholic, ect.) just like his father before him but not as awful as the father was. In the process of growing up, he got a girl, who was 16, pregnant. The girl saw him as Golden. But when she gave birth to the son, she saw the boy's Gold brighter than the man's. For the first time she wasn't blinded by the man's Gold and could see the awful in him, so she took the child and ran. Now that child is still a child so we have yet to see if the circle is going to continue but if it does hopeful we have thinned out the bloodline enough that Sai will be less awful that his father (so maybe his girl won't have to run so far). But for right now he is just as Golden as ever... Now to the morals of this lil story... 1. A Golden child will grow to be an awful man in most aspects but you will still not be able to help but be impressed with him. Be careful not to get too blinded by him. 2. If you are a Golden child don't have children! It will take your Gold away. 3. Don't idolize your children too much or they will grow up to expect it. When the spotlight comes off of them, they will be what they've always been. And you'll realize that you were too blinded by him to see it. |
