Bus pass
| After spending the weekend in the little 'Boro, I am so happy to be back in a town where I can catch a bus if I need to go somewhere. This weekend I couldn't find a ride anywhere, and there is no public transportation there so if you get stuck, "Bout your luck" you have to walk the five miles to the store. After that whole ordeal, ya know what the first thing I did yesterday was? C'mon guess! I went and bought a liberty pass (which is a term used out here for a month long bus pass). That's right folks, I now have the ability to go as much as I want as long as I want without having to worry about money for a solid month!!! It is a new found freedom for only $40 a month! OK so it isn't the fastest or most efficent way to go, but hell it is a way to go. I hate to be stuck in the house for an incredibly long time and now I don't have to. If it gets boring or I just need some fresh air, all I got to do is grab my lil orange card and go!!! It is amazing that $40 a month is all you need to be able to just go anywhere. I went to the mall, Wal-mart and the library yesterday. I can go to the kids school. I can go to the pharmacy. I can go to the movies. I can literally go anywhere I want and never have to worry about it. And they run until 9 p.m. The only day they don't run is on Sundays and that isn't any big deal because Ri is home that day so if I need to go, I can use her car. Another good point about the bus is the group of people you get to meet. I have meet some of the weirdest, some of the coolest and some of the worst people in this town on the bus. I meet soldiers, people going to work, elderly. I meet people who are goth, people who think they are rap artists, and a few hippies. I meet all kinds, coming from all places, who think they are going somehwere but aren't sure where. It is amazing!!! |
