9/22/2019 - Find the Back Pain Solution That’s Right for You
Back pain is common among Americans and so numerous authors have decided to write books on how to do back exercises that can help with back pain. Many of them tell us that back exercises are very effective for the relief of upper or lower back pain. Many say that back pain treatments that work at getting relief, even short term relief just can’t be a bad thing. Therapeutic exercises are an important part of any exercise program designed to treat chronic back pain. You will find systems of exercise that are more effective and some less effective for relief of back pain. Advocates of strengthening and stretches look to yoga as an answer to back pain. Bikram yoga, therapy ball exercises, as well as other programs are also used to treat back pain but all of these are short term solutions that treat the symptoms but not necessarily the problem itself. If you back pain is only a matter of stress or that uncomfortable chair at work, then use any method that works for you but is your back pain is very bad and chronic, perhaps it’s time to admit that you can’t handle the pain on your own and should get some medical attention.
Back pain can be caused by repetitious movements or by habits of posture and movement otherwise known as neuromuscular conditioning. Most actions that the human body does in the normal course of events occur on automatic once they have been set into motion. The brain gives your body signals on how to act and what to do with your body much like a hard drive on a computer. If we use the same motion over and over again (like slumping) we will incorporate that into a habit of motion or a neuromuscular condition.
That's the way that excessive back muscle tension and back pain form. The development of the back-muscle tension habit has caused the body pain which it in turn sends to the brain telling it through the pain that there is something wrong with the back. Many bad back pains come from three sources: violent accident, repetitive motion, or emotional stress. All three of these events can make their impression on movement memory and all are underlying causes of most of the nation’s chronic back pain.
The first thing you should do is to consult a medical professional about your back pain if it is interfering with your everyday life. Get an X-ray or an MRI in order to determine if there is a physical problem and if such a problem exists you can find out how best to treat it from your qualified doctor. That doesn’t mean that your search should end at your doctor’s word. There are many alternative measures that you can take that thousands have found helpful for their back pain. Every case is different you just have to find the solution that’s right for you.
