A commissioned study discovered that as many as eight out of every ten people in the United States are affected by moderate to severe chronic target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>back discomfort. Most professionals will tell you that there are two kinds of back pain, and these are specific back discomfort and non- specific back discomfort. This is really an amazing discovery and certainly a lot less expensive and more enjoyable than surgery or drugs to manage the pain. Can you even imagine having no more back pain for the rest of your life. It's difficult for many of us to wrap our brains around that one.

The type of massage examined in the studies that used four hundred and one males and women from ages twenty to sixty five were relaxation massage and structural massage. Relaxation massage is a therapeutic massage that is meant to help to give you a feeling of overall relaxation and well-being while structural therapeutic massage targets soft tissue and focuses on discomfort issues such as what you might expect from a chiropractic specialist. The research was done through the Group Health Research Institute in Dallas, Texas. It was truly amazing it found that people who suffered from lower-back pain reported relief no matter what type of therapeutic massage was used to help them.

Using correction techniques to stop moving your body in the way that has been causing you pain is a very good way to start. Think about where your pains are and what you might be doing throughout the day that makes it worse. If you're like most of us you probably already know exactly what the problem area is in your life. See what you can do to change it. If you have an uncomfortable chair at work that hurts your back, buy an exercise ball to sit on instead and get exercise while you sit at work. You may get some strange looks from co workers but you might also start a trend! And if it gives you any relief at all to your back pain then it's all worth it.
