1/6/2010 - financial aid officer? where is my help!
Posted in Unspecified

I have been dreadfully inadvertently absent from my blog, for quite some time. Which is pitiful, and sort of ironic considering I'm on the computer almost nightly, but its like the neglect on my Facebook/MySpace pages.

I have started school again, November, taking my first set of classes in my hope to finish my Bachelors degree. I have my Associates, well, have had since 2001, and well... life happened. I hadn't continued on, as of course anticipated, and like most people that 'take time off' and with the move, and family, haven't started back until now. Trying to get my Bachelors in Science for Database Management, if I can get through the classes, working, the home, and special needs with the children. Phew, its amazing how people can juggle so much. But, I guess I put myself into this mess! *laughs*

I'm now in week 8 of my 10 week classes through Kaplan University, found out I need to take 3 classes extra because they weren't required for my AS, but I need a math and 2 English classes more. Ugh. But my I'm trying to figure out why I now have a student loan for $1005 when tuition assistance, a tuition voucher, discount from the community college program, and pell grant were suppose to cover my full term. Some reason its like my Fin Aid Officer couldn't figure out why my work paid lower than anticipated, when I see the voucher submitted to them did not cover all the tuition charges for my 2nd class. I'm not a finance major, but I know if you don't invoice for the correct amount, you won't get paid the correct amount!

Ugh, class is starting. I can't vent anymore. Well, maybe this means I'll have more time if I opt to go to a different university... we'll see what happens.
