Had my post-partum checkup today with a nurse practioner. Few things:

1.) Was not concerned with the dark spot on my right breast, is not a hard lump and looks topical so suggested I see a dermatologist. It doesn't bother me, and it's been a consistant size for the past 6 months.

2.) Was cleared for work, of course, but blood pressure was elevated even with my prescription medication. Heart murmer was also audible today. I told her it was of no concern.

3.) Small lump/node in my throat. Have to call and schedule an ultrasound to see if it's my thyroid acting up or just my lymph node. It doesn't normally feel like this, and honestly I feel fine. *shrugs* but I'll call and get the ultrasound done anyway. Dr. Patel will get a copy of the results since he's my PCP and he'll have to deal with any diagnosis, etc.

4.) Cannot do the NuvaRing birth control like I had previously, obvious issues with my BP and my heart murmer acting up... so they suggested the IUD or a diaphram. I'll have to see if my HMO will cover the IUD. Condoms are just not enough. Jim's got super sperm. I can't handle the hormones in my body and the Zoloft is definately elevating my BP again, but I need to stay on something. I have to schedule a visit with my PCP to review other options... I have to see with Jim what'll be the best option for us. I don't need another Baby (insert letter here). Babies O + K are enough right now.

5.) Yeast infection under my arm pits, found out the cornstartch actually makes it grow more. Oops, have to buy some foot fungus stuff (Lotramin) to lather on then some Gold Bond powder to keep it dry. No yeast infection anywhere else, just there. Hmph.

I go back to work tomorrow. Wish me luck. I miss my babies already.
