Hey Girls, What's going on in Cowtown on the weekend of the 11th? Thought us girls would scoot down for a visit if all you girls will be around. Roq? DD? Can't do it this weekend and the weekend after the 11th is reserved to go and see my new niece or nephew!!! DD - I still have your birthday card - thought I'd see you when Spazz was in town! Roq - How's school going? Spazz - how is life going? I got another job offer yesterday. Someone wants to train me to be a travel agent. I think I'll just stick with my job that I have now though. Thought about it and was flattered, but the income is lower to start and I don't think I want to go backwards. Also, this one keeps me on track with my schooling and the other one is a totally different field. Oh well, it is good to have that kind of option in front of you!

Girl-Time Soon!Sunday, October 1, 2006
Hey girls. Well, things are crazy busy, but we all like it here. I miss the city of Lethbridge just because it is smaller and not as busy as Red Deer, but we don't actually go into the city very often, so it works out okay. There is a really cool dog park there called Three Mile Bend where there are paths, ponds and the river and dogs are allowed to run like crazy. We took Serena's bike there and she rode and dogs ran and I got to walk really fast which was fun. The dogs LOVE it there. I'm having trouble keeping up with my school work, but I'll get through it eventually. Serena is excelling in her class. We work with her all of the time on her words and she is doing well. Her guitar is coming along too. HH's new job is awesome and I am so glad that he switched. Pay is a little less, but hours are better and there is a schedule! He goes to a clinic to renew his referee ticket in a couple of weeks and then he'll be busy with that when he isn't working. Not a bad way to make some extra cash - they are starved for refs out here. My new soccer team is called the Hustlers - go figure - they seem like a good bunch and I think we'll have fun. I scored a goal in the first scrimmage, so I'm guessing they'll keep me. I think they are better than the team I played on last year which will challenge me more. Spazz - I am glad that you are not coming until after the long weekend - we will be at the farm for the weekend, so I would've missed your visit. HH is working through the weekend of your visit, so I will be bringing Serena to do whatever it is that we are doing - if it is an evening out for the grown-ups, I may have to leave her with Onnie! I might have soccer either Friday night or Sunday night, but I won't know the schedule until this week. I'm excited for you and your promotion. New jobs and challenges suck in one way, but they are cool in another way. I usually like my job, sometimes I just hate working for a living - it gets in the way! Good on you for growing - you will be smarter than the rest of us in no time. Dana - I sure hope that being at home is not driving you crazy. I loved it, but some people don't. I guess it has its days. Must be going fast already! I think it is awesome that you can spend the whole year at home. Is Teags still going to daycare sometimes like you had hoped? Betcha don't miss school right now! ROQ - I think you need some serious time for you before you end up on happy pills and vodka. Don't think I'm rude, but truly, there is nothing wrong with an outside opinion. I've used counselling before and for some reason they make the simplest answers out of the biggest problems. You just seem so stressed and unhappy right now. We all hate to see you down because we all care. That's what HOs are for. I know first hand that having the house of your dreams doesn't make it the home of your dreams. You've had a really stressful year with your parents illnesses, Tylar's family moving, you moving twice (including building a house) and the added bonus of not really liking Strathmore that much. Please take time to look after your happiness. Stasi - help me out with this one - you have the life counselling expertise! Remember, NORMAL IS JUST A SETTING ON A WASHING MACHINE!

Stepping into another box....Friday, September 15, 2006

Hey, there hi there HO there!! Ya, I called u all Ho's, whatcha going to do about it...

So, here in the city things are shaking up.

I was offered and accepted a promotion of sorts to take over a different centre in our organization. It is up in the hood (Metrotown) in a community school with up to 50 kids and alot different than good old Suburbia where I am now.

I was/am nervous about the whole thing but I am going to do it because I am scared to!! Yes , I am indeed CRAZY.It will offer me many challenges, and also allow me to grow...puke... and go forward rather than stay safe and comfy as I am now. Wow, have I grown up or what!! So, now that summer craziness has ended another form of it will begin. Thats my news so send me presents for getting  a promotion!! HAHA.

Danster....Thanks for chat Re:the above

Pippi.... Happy B Day again sorry for the lateness

Roq...Tag sucks

And to all of you I am coming to your end of the world The weekend after Thanksgiving....yeeehaw!!

Cheers, SPAZZ

hello - is anybody out there?Tuesday, September 5, 2006
Well, here I am, intending to do homework and wondering how the blog is coming along. Apparently we all had a summer hiatus from blogging. Well, I am the proud owner of high-speed internet at home! There are some benefits to living in town - I sure don't miss that dial-up (sorry Spazz). I have internet access at work, but my computer is older than the Jurassic Era and I am hoping that lightning will strike it several times. It seems likely, we have had some wicked thunderstorms here in Sylvan this year. I have never heard such loud thunder in my life - very cool from the safety of your living room! Dana, the big moo has over 80 flavours of very tasty ice cream. Haven't tried them all, but there is a peanut butter/chocolate combo that is very tasty. HH prefers the mud pie and Serena seems to go for the colourful mixes like rainbow. Very, very tasty. How are the babies doing? I can't believe you have two little ones in your care now - I would guess that you are tired, but not so tired that you can't laugh a little at everyone else going back to school right now! Serena is in French Immersion this year. After 3 days of school she still likes it - she says that she likes it even more than Nobleford, but we'll have to wait and see - she loved grade one. We also have her in guitar lessons, she likes that pretty well, just not the practising part - we take turns playing the guitar with her so that it is more fun and so that we can learn too. Rocky - are you in the house and settled yet? I hate moving, but I can hardly wait until we buy our own house and can set it up how we like and STAY in it! My job is both good and bad. Good because I like it and bad because working for a living sucks. Also, I am still finishing my LCC program, so I am taking two courses right now. I think I'll have to spend more of my weekend doing homework. That is hard to do here when the weather is nice because there is a lot of bike riding, walking and sandcastle building to be done. Spazz - I got your card and thank you so much. HH gave me a day at the spa on Saturday - then we went out to the Trauma Tour (wakeboarding championships), so my apologies at not calling back yet Dana. I was at the spa from 10am to 6pm. It was amazing - steam bath (1 hr), massage (1 hr), pedicure, lunch, manicure and facial. That was an amazing day of pampering. The steam bath is neat too. Back to work - and then SLEEP. Must be up at 6 to walk those little dogs of mine before making lunches, shower and trying to do my hair, guitar practice, blah, blah, blah.

Hot Hot HotWednesday, July 5, 2006

Hey Girls,

How are things? Everyone must be busy we've been lacking on the blogs. I went for my DR appointment today and I'm scheduled in for my C-section on July 25. It seems weird to already know the date. I can't wait for the baby to arrive, I'm very large and very hot.

Shanny, how are things in Sylvan? You can't pick a better spot in AB to spend the summer. Have you been to the Big Moo? How's the job?

Stasi, what's up.....don't you know that I live vicariously through you and am anxiously awaiting some tale of a torrid affair!!!! If I don't get any news, we'll have to start making things up and Neil Diamond still has a lot of potential. My brother found out he's been posted to Prince George after his grad (RCMP) in the middle of August. I still can't believe he's doing it.

ROQ and I had a great lunch the other day but I burnt my arms to a crisp and am still feeling the pain. I haven't had a good old sunburn like that for ages! I can't wait to see you new house. Once I recover from my section, we'll be out to see the new digs.

Take care everyone and good luck beating the heat.

I'M NEVER MOVING AGAIN - WELL, NOT UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!!Friday, June 23, 2006
Hi girls, I am starting to get settled in here. Yes, we found a place to rent and yes, it is somewhat expensive and not really that impressive. BUT, it is only a couple of blocks from the beach and one block from my work, so all-in-all, that is a GOOD deal. Also, it saves us spending $$ on a hotel for HH as he can commute to work AND the dogs have a fenced back yard to play in all day. I'll be back in Lethbridge on Tuesday and Wednesday as they are Serena's last days of school and she is getting an award at the final assembly. I am kind of sad to be leaving there as I actually really like it, Serena really likes it and we will be starting over again (and I have a friend in Lethbridge who is fun!). However, Serena is so excited that we will be by the lake and I think that I've really found the job for me. Also, we really wanted to make a committment to keeping our family closer together and this means it will be possible. Serena is going into French immersion next year. It will be a challenge as she hasn't done it before, but her teacher suggested something that would challenge her and something creative. Her new school has a really great music program that should be fun. Get this Dana - they also have a before and after school program that is very inexpensive and means that she doesn't have to go to a separate daycare! Well, I should get out there and sell some ads. I like the job as I am in and out of the office, make my own schedule, talk to different people and theoretically, by the end of the year I should be making some decent money at it. I expect to take home about $1,200 to $1,500 by the end of this month and I just started on the 13th, so that isn't too bad. It takes a while to get your customers trust and then we'll be off and running. It is a pretty good market to sell in as it is really growing. Spazz- I know what you mean about the trip, Winnipeg is like that for me and I am very overdue for that trip. It will be tricky to take time off with this job, but I'll figure it out somehow I guess. Rocky - I understand the power thing. We had an incident at the farm and it blew our big tv and sub. The power bar from the computer was fried, but the computer survived. Our warranty is fixing the tv, but it isn't done yet. What a pain in the ass. Dana- We are waiting for that baby to come out kicking and screaming. Just think - One whole year off of work (paid work) while you play with baby and change diapers and don't sleep and smell like puke. I think it will fly by! Adios

Hey GalsWednesday, June 14, 2006

I'm with ROQ.... too crabby to talk...but I'm glad her computer is up and running. I have been swamped at work and am looking forward to the end of June. I'm large as life and it's a full time job lugging this belly around.

Shanny.....Congrats on the job. Sylvan is a great little town...the Big Moo has the best ice cream....summer will be a blast there but things won't be normal until September. Have you found a place yet? It's a tricky season to do that. If I hear of anything, I'll let you know.

Stasi....Well done checking off the PG visit....it's good to get it done and see everyone then you realize why you live where you do and don't go back to visit all that often. Not sure if it's a boy...Dustin already exists in the family and the others remind me too much of my brothers' name....We do need to start deciding names as the due date is fast approaching!

ROQ...I hope BC went well and the birthday was a success...I'm sure there's stories to tell.

Not much new here just living large and working my tailfeathers off, as I said, I can't wait until June 30.

Talk to you soon.

I got the job!Wednesday, June 7, 2006
Hey girlz! Well, I completed the invterview and they were very impressed and phoned the next day to tell me that they found me to be very professional - lucky for me!! I took the job, so now we have to up and move again. I am very excited about my new position and the town, but not so excited about the technicalities of moving. The crap jobs of physically moving stuff, hooking up utilities, finding a good school etc. is no fun at all. NOT TO MENTION TRYING TO FIND A HOUSE TO RENT!!!! (for less than $1000 per WEEK) SC loved the town and especially the fact that there is a beach and waterslides. She is sad to leave a couple of friends here, and her llama, but she is excited to go too. I really don't like doing this to her, but we couldn't stay in this little place forever, if I had gotten a job in Lethbridge, we probably would've moved closer to town (to save money on gas) and she would be changing schools anyhow. I really like her school, but I'm sure we'll find another good one. Well, I have a billion things to do and have to figure out where to start. Stasi - congratulations on your take-charge attitude and for getting a little out of it while you are at it!!! Pippi Spice

Hey GirlsWednesday, May 31, 2006

I too am feeling like crap. This cold is kicking my butt. The worst part about being pregnant is that I can't have my Neo Citron/ Nyquil smoothie that always makes things feel better. I have a love for cold remedies that make you sleepy.

ROQ - it's good that you found us and yes, it 's the right bunch of bitches. That will be nice to have your house finished. Moving is very stressful, even if it's only across town. I can't wait to see it. Wait a minute, I haven't seen the place you're in. I know I'm a bad friend. I just find that by the time the weekend rolls around I'm tired and am a bit of a homebody. I do get the next year off, so I'm sure I'll be able to muster up the strength.

Shanny - Way to go on the Eggs Benny. That is some impressive camp menu. What type of job awaits in Sylvan? It's a great town, obviously a thousand times busier in the summer than winter but a nice little town nonetheless. As for elementary schools, I haven't a clue. It's part of the Division I use to work in but I'm out of the loop as far as elementary schools. One of my really good friends ( Micky) that I lived with during University teaches Gr. 2 in Rocky. That doesn't really help if you live in Sylvan. Let me know if you're making the move and I'll talk to her and sleuth it out for you.

Stasi - Do I need to worry about your liver?????? Are you sure you just have a cold? Kidding. I'm just jealous. I'm glad you're out having lots of fun and I'm especially glad that you're calling the shots with the fellas in your life. What the hell is wrong with K? He needs to pull his head out of his ass. You can't treat people like that and keep coming back for more, even if more is all the other party wants. Yes, I mean you!!! You little vixen you.

Take care gals.

Keep Blogging.

Being sick sucks...Tuesday, May 30, 2006

It sure sucks to actually have to stay home when you are really sick! AHHH I hate it, I am bored and feel like shit and am wondering how much work I will have to do when I go back as they have called a few times already ..boo-hoo I hate it!!

My weekends only highlight was the wine festival cuz I started to get sick on Friday . The festival was fun, I actually found a few wines I like now...a rhubarb one and a passion fruit one and a yummy Apricot ice wine. Yah I am now con-a-sewer of wine! Like my spelling!!!

The rest of my weekend and last 2 days has consisted of sleeping and staring blankly at the tv and taking drugs.

Shanny pants, hmm thinking of moving again, you have always reminded me of a gypsy, do what ever makes you happy.  I have not heard from K yet again and do not even think my heart is in any way involved with him, believe me is it not my heart that wants him!! HAHA

And I wanna play some games with him when he does come around again. Cuz he will.

D. I am guessing the baby is a boy and he will be 8.5 . keep me updated

ROQ, I am happy your house is almost done that is so cool someday I will be able to have a house when I find a sugar daddy to buy me one!
Cheers heres to Neo-Citron....SPAZZ

RAINY SUNDAY TODAY!Sunday, May 28, 2006
Rocco Morocco - you have no idea how smart you are - you are much better at math than I am and anyone reading that last entry would think that you have better English skills than the rest of us. Stop selling yourself short - you are intelligent, organized, competent and you look incredibly good for a mother of 2. We know that you are smart and beautiful. Ty knows it too. So do your kids and everyone else who knows you!!! By the way, nice to have you in the blog AND it was fun to drink paralyzers with you again! Congrats on selling the duplex - you guys will be happy in your new home, not long now! We would love a house warming party. Let me know if you want me to come and help move stuff. DDS - okay, sounds like you're just ready to get on with having that baby and stop feeling so TIRED from the big belly and just tired from no sleep! I think a mumu would be a good grad outfit. Either that or shiny, leather panel pants! Once someone calls ROQ I hope she'll call me and tell me how the new baby is doing and how much he/she weighs. I'm guessing 7lbs 13oz. Any other wagers out there? I have another question for you. I have a possible job offer in Sylvan Lake. I don't know the area well and want to know your opinion. There is NOTHING to rent and I don't know where we'd live. Real estate is really high there. HH is working towards Rocky Mtn House, so if we could find something rural heading west it would be good. Any idea where to look to find a rental? Any idea if there are good schools there for grade two? I would really appreciate the input, it is a big step/decision to make. Spazz - good on you, keeping the BAR PURSE theory alive. Also, good for you kicking ass at poker. I don't know what your friends would do for fun without you to liven up their lives. S of M&S seems a little uptight, maybe you need to slip her a little vodka in her apple juice or something... K of the Loops is treading on thin ice is he not? Don't you dare lay your heart on the line anymore for him. I worry that he would be the husband that his dad is - I know you've thought the same. Maybe the time has come for everyone to kick him out of the nest so that he can grow up. Too bad he didn't take advantage years ago before his true colours came out! We were going to go to a pub last night to watch UFC and NHL, but the babysitting got screwed up and it was thought to be SUNDAY night. Maybe we can go out for pub food tonight instead. I also had a backup plan of going out with my friend here (I have 1 friend!) but she backed out - boyfriend troubles. Oh well, I painted my toe nails and they look fabulous. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. It looks like rainy day fun here. I'm cleaning up stuff just in case we are moving. I hear Red Deer is nice... Here is a little religion for you all so that you feel that your Sunday is complete: Catholic girls A train hits a bus filled with Catholic school girls and they all perish. They are in heaven trying to enter the pearly gates when St. Peter asks the first girl, "Tiffany, have you ever had any contact with a male organ?" She giggles and shyly replies, "Well, I once touched the head of one with the tip of my finger." St. Peter says, "Okay, dip the tip of your finger in the Holy Water and pass through the gate." St. Peter asks the next girl the same question, "Jennifer, have you ever had any contact with a male organ?" The girl is a little reluctant but replies, "Well, once I fondled and stroked one." St. Peter says, "Okay, dip your whole hand in the Holy Water and pass through the gate." All of a sudden, there is a lot of commotion in the line of girls. One girl is pushing her way to the front of the line. When she reaches the front, St.Peter says, "Reva, What seems to be the rush?" The girl replies, "If I'm going to have to gargle that Holy Water, I want to do it before Jessica sticks her ass in it."

I have finally found youFriday, May 26, 2006
Well girls,  I think I may have figured this baby out.  Or could there be another bunch of bithces out there?  My guess is that none could be as exciting as we all are.  Actually my life is anything but exciting.  That is why I don't write anything, just read it.  We had fun camping this weekend.  Not too many drunken nights due to the fact that I ate all day and I think I would have had to drink an awful lot to soak into the system.  It was nice to camp and the weather was beautiful.  Sunburns all around except for me.  I learned my lesson long ago after sleeping in a turtle pool after consuming several coors.  Swollen eyeballs and later peeling.  Another learning  experience to add to the list.  We put our duplex up for sale friday before we left and on Monday it was sold.  Crazy market.  Our house is being painted.  It is cool to watch it come together.  How about a house warming party at the end of August?  We have lots of room. D , I hope you are feeling better.  I can not really remember being pregnant as it was 10 years ago now.  I do not think I will be doing that again unless ....actually no i will not do that again.  Too old now and my hair is gray.  Would not hurt my figure any as I already look withchild.  S  you crazy woman you.  Keep up the good work.  Keep an eye on that liver though.  Congrats on the poker winnings and if your purse is large enough next time Red Robin has those cool cups for Kaluha can you get me one please.  Brown eyed girl (as i can not call you S as their already is an S ,  oh wait, S has brown eyes too. I will think of another code name)  Can't right now cause I am too tired.  Thanks for coming camping.  It was fun and maybe we can do it again sometime.  Your camp cooking is extrordinary.  Eggs Benedict and pancakes with fruit.  I do not eat that good ever.  I must go to bed because my brains are turning to mush.  It is 12:14 and I am supposed to be doing an assignment.  I need to graduate you know.  Who is good at math 30 and socials 30?  Not me. Thanks for letting me enjoy you stories and i shall talk again sometime.  Happy Day to you all.

What a weekend..Wednesday, May 24, 2006

Hey Gals...Its me here in the big city..

So, here's my weekend update..

Friday, Out to dinner with friends for a birthday and managed to aquire 3 very nice 'heavy' margarita glasses from Mexico.. Yes having  big purses does wonders for my collection of drinking glasses.

Saturday, Off to the races, took S&M and their son J to the horse races as they had never been there...it was fun except for S constantly complaining that J was getting on her nerves and we should leave soon. He was fine and loved the horses, she was being a baby and honestly me and M were having a blast and we should have taken her home!! Then out to play poker with the annoying guy, I will not do it again..I say that everytime!

Sunday, Brunch with Em and Al and new Baby K, we went to a cool pub on the north side, a micorbrewery one, it was fun and different due to the boob feeding at the table..I am adapting. Then off to S and M's for a big Poker night we planned for a friend of ours Birthday and it was a blast...and I WON!! We played two full games and I got home at 3:30 am with $170 in my pocket!! YAY ME.

Back to workMonday, May 22, 2006

Hey Girlz,

I just typed up my message, pressed the wrong button and it went away. I love technology. Anyway, I don't have anything to report and don't feel like typing the message again. We had a nice relaxing weekend, went to Innisfail for a bit and hung out at home. I am fighting the never ending battle of what to wear to Grad. I thought that ended in '89 but oh no, here I am '06 still trying to put an outfit together.

Anyway, hope all is well and that everyone is battling sunburns and hangovers. I am still waiting for a juicy Neil Diamond story. Is there on out there?

Talk to you soon,

D

yay, long weekendThursday, May 18, 2006
We are off today for camping. Roq & Ty will be there tomorrow. I am looking forward to it because it seems like so much work getting everything ready - now I want to relax. At least HH helps. He's got the boat all packed with the camping & fishing gear, I've just been preparing food all day. Dana - I'm either having a paralyzer or a long island iced tea for you. I'll also be having a couple blueberry teas while I relax by the fire. Hopefully we can catch some fish this weekend. I'd like Serena to reel one in on her own. I've got bug spray and sunscreen - have a good weekend! Spazz - I'll drink libations in your honour, but I'm pretty sure that you'll choke down more than me this weekend. We hardly ever drink - I had to dust of the bottles that I took down off of the fridge! Hey - thanks for the CD (I like it), jokes and the 'divorce pills' although I'm sure that the term 'happy divorce' is not really a true one. I'm happy to be divorced, but the procedure sucked (and was expensive!). Keep safe over the weekend and don't do anything that Neil Diamond wouldn't do...
