Hi girls,
I am starting to get settled in here. Yes, we found a place to rent and yes, it is somewhat expensive and not really that impressive. BUT, it is only a couple of blocks from the beach and one block from my work, so all-in-all, that is a GOOD deal. Also, it saves us spending $$ on a hotel for HH as he can commute to work AND the dogs have a fenced back yard to play in all day.
I'll be back in Lethbridge on Tuesday and Wednesday as they are Serena's last days of school and she is getting an award at the final assembly. I am kind of sad to be leaving there as I actually really like it, Serena really likes it and we will be starting over again (and I have a friend in Lethbridge who is fun!). However, Serena is so excited that we will be by the lake and I think that I've really found the job for me. Also, we really wanted to make a committment to keeping our family closer together and this means it will be possible. Serena is going into French immersion next year. It will be a challenge as she hasn't done it before, but her teacher suggested something that would challenge her and something creative. Her new school has a really great music program that should be fun. Get this Dana - they also have a before and after school program that is very inexpensive and means that she doesn't have to go to a separate daycare!
Well, I should get out there and sell some ads. I like the job as I am in and out of the office, make my own schedule, talk to different people and theoretically, by the end of the year I should be making some decent money at it. I expect to take home about $1,200 to $1,500 by the end of this month and I just started on the 13th, so that isn't too bad. It takes a while to get your customers trust and then we'll be off and running. It is a pretty good market to sell in as it is really growing.
Spazz- I know what you mean about the trip, Winnipeg is like that for me and I am very overdue for that trip. It will be tricky to take time off with this job, but I'll figure it out somehow I guess.
Rocky - I understand the power thing. We had an incident at the farm and it blew our big tv and sub. The power bar from the computer was fried, but the computer survived. Our warranty is fixing the tv, but it isn't done yet. What a pain in the ass.
Dana- We are waiting for that baby to come out kicking and screaming. Just think - One whole year off of work (paid work) while you play with baby and change diapers and don't sleep and smell like puke. I think it will fly by!
