Well, here I am, intending to do homework and wondering how the blog is coming along. Apparently we all had a summer hiatus from blogging.
Well, I am the proud owner of high-speed internet at home! There are some benefits to living in town - I sure don't miss that dial-up (sorry Spazz). I have internet access at work, but my computer is older than the Jurassic Era and I am hoping that lightning will strike it several times. It seems likely, we have had some wicked thunderstorms here in Sylvan this year. I have never heard such loud thunder in my life - very cool from the safety of your living room!
Dana, the big moo has over 80 flavours of very tasty ice cream. Haven't tried them all, but there is a peanut butter/chocolate combo that is very tasty. HH prefers the mud pie and Serena seems to go for the colourful mixes like rainbow. Very, very tasty. How are the babies doing? I can't believe you have two little ones in your care now - I would guess that you are tired, but not so tired that you can't laugh a little at everyone else going back to school right now!
Serena is in French Immersion this year. After 3 days of school she still likes it - she says that she likes it even more than Nobleford, but we'll have to wait and see - she loved grade one. We also have her in guitar lessons, she likes that pretty well, just not the practising part - we take turns playing the guitar with her so that it is more fun and so that we can learn too.
Rocky - are you in the house and settled yet? I hate moving, but I can hardly wait until we buy our own house and can set it up how we like and STAY in it!
My job is both good and bad. Good because I like it and bad because working for a living sucks. Also, I am still finishing my LCC program, so I am taking two courses right now. I think I'll have to spend more of my weekend doing homework. That is hard to do here when the weather is nice because there is a lot of bike riding, walking and sandcastle building to be done.
Spazz - I got your card and thank you so much. HH gave me a day at the spa on Saturday - then we went out to the Trauma Tour (wakeboarding championships), so my apologies at not calling back yet Dana. I was at the spa from 10am to 6pm. It was amazing - steam bath (1 hr), massage (1 hr), pedicure, lunch, manicure and facial. That was an amazing day of pampering. The steam bath is neat too.
Back to work - and then SLEEP. Must be up at 6 to walk those little dogs of mine before making lunches, shower and trying to do my hair, guitar practice, blah, blah, blah. |
