I thought I'd share a couple new things I found today.
The first is Purple Pussy, a comic for girls. It's a web comic about a bunch of female animals, starring a cat named Purple Pussy. She's a raging feminist and lesbian who dates Betty Bunny, a rabbit who ocassionally likes to get stoned.
They are friends with:
Roofie Raccoon, A geek who's obsessed with an old NES game.
Foxy Fox, nymphomaniac and carrier of 72 STD's.
Shelly Squirrel, angrier than Purple and constantly smoking.
Poopy Puppy, a rich girl who eats her own doo.
The stories are insane and surreal and usually contain extreme violence and profanity. Suprisingly there is only some sexual innuendo and no nudity. The artistic level ranges from crude MS Paint drawn scribbles right up to detailed portraits and illustrations that are sometimes mind blowing. The dialogue is pure toilet humor, but the characters themselves are quick to point that out, and they continually critique the comic and their viewers.

The second discovery today is a band called Apocalyptica.
They are a Finnish band consisting of 3 (originally 4) classically trained cellists and more recently a drummer. They all play a not very well known in the states genre of music called Cello Rock. Their speciality is heavy metal music, though they all play classical as well. Their first album was made up entirely of covers of songs by Metallica. Their newer albums contain originals, though they still cover bands too like Sepultara, Faith No More, Slayer, Rammstein and Pantera. I have always noticed the similarities in form and structure between classical music and metal music and I love it when the two are combined.
