My supervisor screwed up and gave me the day off though I wanted to work, so I have a day to pretty much not do anything. (My friend and I were going to get together, but she wasn't feeling well and canceled.) So I guess I will spend some quality time with my cat, do a little reading, maybe study a bit for an upcoming midterm for my online course on IT (for my library and info science distance learning program). And, I'm exploring blog sites, since I enjoy blogging, and I'm also doing a group project on blogging for my IT course...

I'm feeling pretty much at home in my new apartment (I just moved in a few days ago, after selling my house and getting rid of the two big mortgage payments). My kitty is adjusting surprisingly well, too. He runs around the place full of happy energy, is eating great, etc. All my pictures are hung and the boxes are unpacked. The only thing I don't like about this place is the LOUD air conditioner, and the way it blows directly on me in bed. So I have to turn off the AC overnight, which means it gets kind of warm in here due to the AZ heat. But it's not unbearable.

The Fourth of July fireworks I had hoped to see were canceled. Big bummer. Oh well. Maybe next year...

I'm recuperating from a crush I've had on a (married) co-worker. I think I'm over it. Which is a good thing!
