As the Packers' world turns...
The whole drama between the Packers and Brett Favre is pretty sad. I don't know whom to be more upset at, Favre for wanting to play someplace else, or the Packers for not seeming to want him back. He should have just stayed in dignified retirement. Now his whole legacy with the Packers is kind of tainted, due to the bad blood stirred up between him and the team, and it will especially be tainted if he plays for another team. That's just sacrilege.
Oh well, in the great scheme of things, it doesn't really matter, I guess...
A co-worker forwarded me a written piece supposedly done by Jay Leno, about how the many people polled who are dissatisfied with the state of our country today are a bunch of ungrateful whiners. He writes about how many material advantages we have, compared with others in the world, and how lucky we are. It's too long of a piece to post here. But that's what it's about in a nutshell. And I guess it's some good food for thought.

I also agree with your other point. A local sports team can win game after game in a row. When they lose one, everybody gets critical (more talk radio). But then again, is it wrong to seek perfection? If we tolerate one loss, or one imperfection, will we tolerate two, three, etc. I still agree with you...you just got me thinking :)
