A 2007 report by the Commonwealth Fund campared health care in the United States, England, Canada, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. The United States health care system ranked last.
Ken Thorpe, professor of health care policy at Emory University, says "We...have 46 million people who are uninsured, and that raises a whole host of health and financial issues."

The World Health Organization did an analysis of the world's health systems by studying 191 countries. This study ranked the French health care system as the best, followed in order by Italy, Spain, Oman, Austria and Japan.
The United States health care system was found to be the most expensive in the world. But the United States health care system was ranked 37th out of 191 nations. Life expectancy was used as one measure of how well a nation's health care system contributed to good health.
Compared to other industrialized nations, the United States health care system does not contribute very well to good health in this country..

The Commonwealth Fund reports that Americans receive the poorest quality of health care, yet pay the most for it out of the six top industrialized nations. Their study was based on quality, access, efficiency, equity and outcome measures of health care.
Germany had the top rank, followed in turn by England, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
The report found that Texas ranks at the bottom of the United States in number of people who have no health insurance, at just over twenty five percent being uninsured.
The U.S. had the highest infant mortality rate of all six industrialized nations.

There are large differences in the quality of health care between different regions in the United States.
The indicator, premature death rate before age 75 from preventable causes, shows a wide range between different states in the U.S. The lowest premature death rate are found in Minnesota, Utah, Vermont, Wyoming and Alaska.
The states with the highest premature death rates are Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas and Tennessee. In the five states with the lowest premature death rates the average rate was 74.1 per 100,000 people. But in the five states with the highest premature death rates it was 141.7 per 100,000 people.
This report ranked states on 32 indicators in five groups of indicators: access to health care, quality of care, costs of care, equity, and "ability to live long and healthy lives."
States in the Northeast and in the Upper Midwest ranked the highest in health care indicators. States with the poorest health care, according to these indicators, were in the South.
In the five top states for health care ninety percent of adults have health care insurance. These states are Hawaii, Iowa, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. In the five lowest ranked states 70 to 78 percent of the adults are insured. These states with the worst health care systems are Nevada, Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi and Oklahoma.
The conclusion is that competence and cost-effectiveness of health care systems is very different in different regions of the United States.

People in forty one nations are now living longer than Americans on the average.

In 2004 per capita spending for medical services in the U.S.was more than double that in Canada. People in the United States spent $6,096, on the average, but in Canada they spent $3,038.
Average income for physicians in the United States in 1996 was nearly twice that for doctors in Canada.
But life expectancy in 2006 was about two and a half years longer in Canada than in the United States. These statistics say that cost-effectiveness of medical care in the United States is lower than that in Canada.

But the Japanese health care system appears to be even higher in cost-effectiveness than that of Canada. The Japanese have the best longevity rate, at least of all the industrialized nations, with relatively .low health care costs.

A 1998 Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) article reports that allopathic medicine was then killing 250,000 Americans per year. That figure is likely higher in 2007.

The United States is the only country in the world whose health care system is based almost entirely on care for profit.
This site says in 2004 almost 50 million Americans had no health care insurance. Millions more have inadequate medical insurance.
The cost of medical care in the U.S. rose from 4.4 percent of the Gross Domestic product (GDP) in 1950 to 14 percent in 2004. Medical costs are expected to be 16 percent in 2008.
One of the problems in the U.S. health care system is that for a very large percentage of Americans who do have medical insurance there are barriers set up deliberately to block access to services. These barriers are deductable provisions.
The federal and state lawmakers created Medicare and Medicade to please the voters. Then the lawmakers or bureaucrats set up blocks to reduce the number of Americans able to benefit from these insurance measures. To have Medicare pay for medical services one must first meet a deductable amount for a year. This means that poor people who cannot pay for their first visit to a doctor, or the deductable amount, cannot get Medicare. States have "spenddown" requirements for one to receive Medicade, which blocks many poor people from receiving Medicade. These blocks contribute to the ranks of the poor Americans who cannot meet the deductable or spenddown requirements.
The American Medical Association (AMA) and the giant pharmaceutical corporations are said to oppose plans at the federal level to create health care insurance for all Americans. The AMA and the big drug corporations also act to maintain allopathic medicine in the United States as a virtual monopoly.
A hundred years ago there were more alternative healers available, including herbalists and homeopathic doctors.
The rise in cost of pharmaceutical drugs accounts for a large share of the increase in the cost of medical care. Spending on drugs increased 19 percent from 1999 to 2000.
In addition, now it costs well over a thousand dollars per day to stay in a hospital - which can be a dangerous place for one's health and even one's life.
According to this site as many as 40 percent of patients admitted to hospitals in the U.S. do not need to be admitted. The writers of this site say "The documented success of treatments such as physical therapy, diet, acupuncture, herbal medicine...and natural remedies cause these systems to gain clear validity among thousands of adherents. There is a spiritual problem, though, within the alternative health care industry. The New Age Occult movement has infiltrated the health food movement. In addition, New Age Occultists have long since moved into yoga, Transcendental Meditation (TM) and other non-allopathic forms of treatment. Yoga and Transcendental Meditation are entry doors to the occult..

THE UNITED STATES HEALTH CARE SYSTEM IS BASED ON MONOPLOY CAPITALISM
In the book, Rockefeller Medicine Men: Medicine and Capitalism In AMERICA, 1979, by E. Richard Brown, he says the current problems in the U.S. health care system are due to the "marriage of modern medicine to corporate capitalism."
In the early years of the 20th century, Brown says that because medical technology was expensive, doctors turned to the financial elite for money. The Rockefeller family supplied a large part of the money to fund medical technology, as well as medical research and medical schools.
Rockefeller University began in 1901 as the Rockefeller Institute for medical Research. It began giving doctor's degrees in 1957. And the Rockefeller University Hospital does basic as well as applied medical research.

Mullins says "...the Rockefeller Medical Monopoly attained control of the health care of the nation."
He says that after oil was discovered in Pennsylvania, William Rockefeller got into the business of felling bottles of oil. So the Rockefeller Medical Monopoly and its interest in cancer goes back to a snake oil salesman named William Rockefeller. Ol William Rockefeller recognized back in the 19th century there was money to be made from cancer. His descendants continued his interest in making money from cancer.

Mullins goes on to say "The American College of Surgeons maintains a monopolistic control of hospitals through the powerful Hospital Survey Committee, with members Winthrop Aldrich and David McAlpine representing the Rockefeller control."
Mullins says "America became the greatest and most productive nation in the world because we had the healthiest citizens in the world. When the Rockefeller Syndicate began its takeover of our medical profession in 1910, our citizens went into a sharp decline. Today, we suffer from a host of debilitating ailments, both mental and physical, nearly all of which can be traced directly to the operations of the chemical and drug monopoly."

In 1987 Mullins says eleven of eighteen leading pharmaceutical corporations were in the United States. He says that the Rockefeller Interests, having established the American Drug Trust, have long been active not only in pharmaceutical drugs but in illegal drugs as well.
in his 1988 book, Murder By Injection, Mullins says the Rockefellers, with the help of the American Medical Association, gained control of the U.S. Health Care System. He says the Rockefeller Education Board spent more than $100 million to gain control of the U.S. medical schools and thereby to turn United States doctors into allopathic physicians using drugs and surgery.
The Rockefellers were involved in the pharmaceutical drug industry and helped to make American doctors into highly paid salesmen for prescription drugs. Perhaps the Rockefellers and others in the ruling elite helped give high status to American doctors, making them members of the ruling class, to help fool the people into accepting the drugs they promoted as "cures" for many diseases. Here is a report of just one study on the connection between mercury in vaccines and alzheimer's disease. It took about two and a half weeks for the wound to heal. When it was healed Laurie took Chad to a Del Mar dermatologist for a biopsy. The test results were negative of any signs of melanoma! The next two weeks were concentrated on once again healing the tissue to get another biopsy. Upon the wound site being healed, a melanoma specialist did a punch biopsy and a complete lab analysis on Friday, June 15. Again, no sign of cancer could be found in the biopsy and the blood work was in healthy ranges...
The following Monday, June 18th, Laurie and Chad turned themselves in to the San Diego Social Services office, with all of their documentation. They were detained for 4 hours, then told that arrest warrants for Laurie and Chad were issued from Orange County. Chad was locked up at the Palenskie Center in San Diego for one night. A new social worker, David Harper, was put on the case. He picked Chad up in San Diego transporting him to Orangewood Children's Home in Orange County for the next two weeks, where he got fed spaghetti and meat balls, food not fitting one healing from cancer. One aspect of Chad's treatment was a healthy diet of living foods, but Ms.
Jessop's requests of this social worker that Chad get proper food fell on deaf ears.
Now Laurie is on trial, forbidden to speak under a gag order, by Update on Court-Ordered Chemo/Surgery for 17 Year Old Without Cancer . Whle in jail in California, the mother, Laurie Jessop, was in effect tortured.
"Laurie was physically abused, they spread her legs twisting her knee, when she complained they called out "Resisting.Resisting" then they pushed her violently to a cell wall (behind the cameras) causing her to twist her neck, shoulder and arm. After being worked over, they took away her jacket, shoes, socks, and toilet paper, and locked her up. Her holding cell was extremely cold and she was deliberately denied toilet paper."
The writer of this article says "Orthodox medicine is unwilling to admit it does not know everything, and it hates competition. Its methods of treating cancer are not the only ways that can work. Ms. Jessop believed she could find another way, and her son, given a diagnosis of imminent death, is now free of cancer. Never mind, the doctor is sure it's still there, so Big Brother intends to make an example of her as an unfit mother for disobeying her doctor, putting her son in mortal danger. That's not happening, but truth often doesn't matter to Big Brother, as is apparent in most government policy. If Chad were actually endangered by not getting conventional treatment, the authorities might have a leg to stand on, but in this case, it's not his mother putting him in jeopardy, it's the system! The doctor has egg on her face, because she was sure Chad would die quickly without aggressive conventional treatment, and she has been proven wrong! Instead of learning from her error, she wants to make Ms. Jessop and her son pay for showing her up! "

In Virginia Abraham Cherrix, 16, was ordered by a court to undergo allopathic cancer treatment he did not want.
"The case was begun when Abraham, fearing for his life, rejected another proposed round of chemotherapy. The oncologist who was working with him then notified social services officials."
"His parents had been confronted by a social worker who threatened to take the boy away by force, his father, Jay Cherrix of Chincoteague, Va., reported....
"When the social-service worker came and interviewed me, I told him how Abraham felt and about how we had met a person who had been cured by this [alternative treatment] and how we were supporting Abraham's decision. I said, 'What will you do with my little boy? Will you take him somewhere and strap him down and put duct tape on his mouth and pump [him] full of this stuff if he doesn't want it?'
"He said, 'No, I will come to your house with a uniformed officer, and I will take your son by force if he resists. And I will take him to somebody who will do that.'"
"Jay Cherrix said his son already has had chemotherapy without results. He told Sean Hannity's national radio program he supported his son's desires."
Probably because this case got some national publicity, the court changed its order, allowing Abraham Cherris to decide what cancer treatment he wants. But, here's the catch:
"The report said the decree will allow Abraham to choose his own Hodgkin's disease cancer expert who must be board-certified in radiation therapy and be interested in alternative treatments."
Not many cancer experts certified in radiation "therapy" are interested in cancer treatment other than radiation or surgery. They make lots of money from ineffective - but harmful in large amounts - radiation treatment.
In addition, this web site article reports that "Under supervision from a clinic in Mexico, Abraham is on a sugar-free, organic diet and takes herbal supplements."
This suggests that one has to go out of this country to find care givers skilled to some degree in alternative cancer treatments.

The Japanese have used traditional Chinese medicine for several centuries. And since about 1900 Chinese type herbalists have been required to be licensed as medical doctors. Western medicine came into Japan in the 19th century. Today a person in Japan who gets sick can make use of herbalists, acupuncturists, masseurs - or Western Allopathic medicine, that is, drugs and surgery.
But in Japan the allopathic medicine model is not dominant as it is in the United States. In the U.S. allopathic doctors actively oppose alternative prevention and treatment methods, and most U.S. doctors ignore or oppose nutrition as prevention and treatment.
Japanese allopaths do not oppose alternative methods and nutrition. This is one of the main reasons why the Japanese health care system is more cost-effective than the dominant allopathic system in the United States. A population with some knowledge about herbs, nutrition, exercise and other alternatives and health care workers who have a more expert knowledge of these alternative methods for prevention and treatment of diseases is likely to live longer and be more healthy than a population without such knowledge and without skilled alternative health care workers. It is not at all surprising that the Japanese live longer and are healthier than Americans on the average. Our for profit health care system is based upon the monopoly capitalist model and monopoly allopathic medicine - and is still under the influence of the Rockefellers with its capabiliies limited to drugs and surgery. This American system has been shown by data collected on 191 countries to rank 37th, the worst of all industrialized nations.
