Yea have I sat in discernment of love Yet choose I must he who fits as a glove Pain and anguish tear at my fragile soul Now to decide weighing passion and dole
So thee art a God I thought I could trust Yea that now I pay for my sins of lust Pablo or Martin I am forced to choose Whom ever I pick the other shall loose An anguish so great it tears at my heart Yet from either love nay I stayed apart O my good Lord how I let them know me Like a whore I spent my body for free I am now to pay the eternal price Condemnation is not a sacrifice

Elf House in a Tree Something we know how to do Is build a place to hide from you High up in the trees we climb
For scattles of years; in elfin time So the king of elves came to me Said build a house up in a tree All he had to do was ask Then the elves set to the task A house in a tree, that’s what he said To hide from humans that we dread So we huddled we to whisper To keep our plans much crisper We need a name; what to call it? A Tree House! That name will fit So now our work has just begun Hammering, singing elfin fun A secret place high in the tree A place where no one else can see A place to hide for another scattle To avoid a nasty battle A cozy place, a place to love High up in the tree above Secret creatures, Elves are we Now living high up in the tree This poem is written in amera style. If you’re not acquainted with it, it’s two poems in one. One poem is nested within the other differentiated by the bold print. The inside poem (bold print) should be read one line at a time. This style can depict two opposing points of view or draw attention to the main point of the poem.

Mother Earth, she gives us birth.
Then the fire lends Desire.
The Wind, the Air; its always there.
And Water is our daughter.

The cacophony of panting on exhalation
The coxswains cadence without hesitation
Waves splashing on the gunwale shell
Grace and beauty like a Canterbury Bell
My spoon is fully squared at the catch
Nicely anchored, in the rowlock latch
Incessant sculling angle and pitch
Waiting for the Half Pressure switch
Using all our skill teamwork and such
Leading the regatta but not by much
Our Bow Ball crosses the finish line
Winning the race and feeling divine

As a young girl I was so free Laughing, jumping, climbing a tree Then I grew older and worked in the pub With seamen to serve and floors to scrub
Stolen from bed deep in the night Dragged to a schooner unable to fight Bent over backward, bound to a barrel My dress torn open, feeling of peril
Used as an object for sailors delight A victim of lust that is my plight Flesh on my wrist, torn from the rope They put out to sea, I lost all hope
Unable to scream because of the gag They named me a winch, called me a hag One thing they never can take from me Dreams of that girl who was climbing a tree

Lord Byron: Absolutey anything by Byron...it was all suitably lush and vibrant in language and expression.

Oscar Wilde: Particularly 'The Ballad of Reading Gaol' sadly enough as it expresses such sad honesty and pain, however his earlier work is simply divine.

George Martin: Ooo...chilling. The 'Ice and Fire' series of books are just spellbinding. Brilliant characters on a fantasy backdrop of political intrigue and backstabbing, I have never known an author who seems to love torturing his characters as much as he does! Pure evil...and yet that's why we love it.

Oscar Wilde: Although I have already mentioned him above in the poetry section, I think he needs to be in this list too for the truly gothic and enthralling 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'.

Stephen Fry: The sheer brilliance and intelligence of this man shines through in his books. So funny, and yet sad and touching in all the right places, he produces books that you can read again and again, and still laugh and ache with them. My favourite is 'The Liar', never has a book made me laugh as much as this one...and yet it is still so clever with twists and turns that are far superior to the supposedly best thriller and mystery writers, mentioning no names...

William Makepeace Thackeray: Anyone with a name like that has to be good, huh? I love 'Vanity Fair', featuring the infamous 'Becky Sharp' as the lead character...the very first of the strong, ruthless female characters...and written so well by a man no less.

J.R.R. Tolkien: Need I say more? 'Lord of the Rings' blew me away. I have never read a book that has included as much as Rings. Love and loyalty in friendship and kin, realistic family relationships, an epic adventure, so many metaphores in the story to express views on real life and attitudes, full and indepth characters, a lush and vivid history of the fantasy world, and just really cracking story writing. Never, in my opinion, has another book managed to capture all of these things so well and with such quality.

Edgar Allan Poe: I have to confess, I do think he had a way of cheating in his poetry, to make things fit, but I don't care, because he did it with skill and not in a clumsy manner (like only Bach can put an unfavoured chord in a Bach chorale, because only he could do it with the needed style...when other people try and cheat, it just sounds bad...hehe). My favourite of his is 'The City In The Sea', and most definitely not the over exposed, over used, over rated bloody Raven.

Green
O how I love the color green
splendor of its glorious sheen
Green, green is everywhere
greens my color love affair
The blanket color of the fields
the color of the harvest yields
The color of my lovers eyes
pools reflecting evening skies
Forest canopy over my head,
like a green blanket over a bed
Leaves on a tree shades of green
smell just the aroma, It feels clean
The castle is covered with green ivy
so all the colors are green with envy
What is my favorite color you ask?
My answer is green, an easy task.

Elfin Sanctuary
Sliding behind the waterfall
my arms, my back, cling to the wall
A torrent cascades over my head
a thunderous sound, ore the creek bed
Hidden access, secret place
gate that guards the elfin race
An arcanum, for a special few
a door that only elves go thru
Sanctuary, now secure,
stories told of elfin lure
Magic comes within these walls
haven here, when danger calls
Elves were here long before man
living in their peaceful clan
So the world has passed them by
protected from its wicked eye

escape
how long
have you
been locked in
the dark tower
when the old doors
perchance unbolted.
carefully pushing it open
the winds of freedom has
given you the courage for exit
and escape. step by step bring
your decent closer to the freedom of
the masters tower keep and torments.

Sharing this time together
you have broken down my wall
I melt in your arms and feel
your hot breath on my neck
You know not what you have done
for now I want more, much more
My bed has been empty
for longer than I know
You to lay there next to me
your naked flesh warming my heart
Your pulse throbbing within me
and my soul submits to your lust
This time we share together
gives me an erotic thrill
A closeness as we are one
take me and I want it to be so
Sharing this time together
