There are several differences noted between the Yadvisor.com website service, Answers.com, and yahoo answers website.

One noticeable difference between Answers.com, Yahoo Answers.com, and Yadvisor.com is that Yadvisor.com has a simpler approach to their website organization.

Yadvisor is much better laid out and easier to navigate. When visiting Yadvisor.com a person can see a straight forward list of the different major subject categories although an additional benefit of the the website are the multiple subcategories listed on the same page under each major category, in comparison to the Answers.com or the Yahoo Answers website where a user must first pick a category and than they are taken to another page to choose a subcategory from a list a list of subjects which than requires a search query to be performed.

In addition Yadvisor offers several experts that are rated by users and ranked according to their expertise in handling previous questions as opposed to the process that Yahoo Answers has chosen to rate their members based on the types of activities and amount of activity performed. As on Yahoo Answers certain points are gained for certain activities while certain points are lost for other activities. Answers.com is based upon a search and query by asking questions where databases are searched as opposed to Yadvisor.com which has the added feature that allows for a more personalized approach with a feature that allows users to see pictures of the experts who are real people who answer questions which can be answered in real time via one-to one voice or in video chat sessions with no additional equipment or software required.

A notable difference between Yadvisor.com and the other two websites mentioned herein is that users do not need to register to communicate, although this is limited in the ability to read a message until the user agrees to register. Yadvisor also allows users to view other users feedback and the details which is a feature Answers.com and Yahoo Answers does not have. Yahoo Answers only shows the number of positive and negative feedback given vs the details behind the feedback given or why one was chosen over another.

Another difference in the three website services is the added feature that Yadvisor.com offers that the other two websites Answers.com and Yahoo Answers is the feature that allows users to share photos by sending up to three photos to the experts on Yadvisor.com.
