Yesterday I finally made the change that I had been thinkg for a while. I changed my EF-S 17-85mm lens IS to EF 17-40 F4 L lens. So now I have my first Canon L series lenses! I also updated this to my gear page. Basically the only change to the old is that the objective in the camera has now red stripe (mark of L serires for those that do not know). So far I have only shot some test shots with the new lens and it seems promissing. Tomorrow I will put it in a real test.
I just don't have any real reasons for making the change. Somehow I just didn't like the EF-S 17-85 IS picture/build quality and feel. It ofcourse had a lot wider zoom range and image stabilizier, but I'm still very confident that I'm not going to regret this change.
