2007/7/5 - New gear: polarization filter

Today I received my Hoya Pro1 Digital circular polarization filter by mail. I right away went out to shot some test pictures. I do not yet know how or when to use it for the best results, but I can say that I do not regret buying it at all! Here is just some snapshots taken in direct sunlight pointing the camera where ever and using automatic aperature priority mode. I will not say which one are taken with polarization filter on, but like I said, I like it!

I'm not trying to proof that you can not take similar pictures without a CPL filter, but this is how they came out of the camera with same automatic settings and without any modifications. Next thing is to learn when to really use it and even most importantly when NOT to use it.

P.S. For some reason I also got some other gear by mail: spare battery, Op/Tech pro camera strap and some cleaning wipes. Very strange
